Aujourd’hui sort notre nouvelle chanson « Les voiles » 🍁

Let this be your permission slip:
to clap for yourself
to recognize your growth
to own your success — fully and out loud 👏

@niecynash1 said it best: “I wanna thank me.” 🌻
For believing when no one else did.
For doing what they said couldn’t be done.
For showing up, again and again.

As women, we’re often taught to downplay our wins — but as female founders, we know better. Celebrating yourself isn’t arrogance. It’s ownership. 🔥

So take a moment to thank the woman who's been doing the work, even when it was hard.
🌪️ You earned this. And you’re just getting started. 🌪️

"FEMALE FILMMAKER FRIDAY II Today my heart goes out to @panavisionofficial Hollywood & my incredible Panavision family! 😘 It’s the end of an era, today, Panavision Hollywood closes its doors! 💔
-
Before attending @usccinema to study Film & Television Production, I was working my way up as a Cinematographer starting as a Camera PA, then 2nd AC, 1st AC, Camera Operator, & finally DP! 🎥
-
At the same time, I interned at camera houses: @_becine_, @evidencecameras, & @abelcine! 🏡 One unforgettable moment was being invited to Anamorphic Lens Day at the @american_cinematographer @the__asc Clubhouse, it was there I first discovered Panavision’s magical anamorphic lenses! ✨ Months later, I was offered an internship at Panavision Woodland Hills & eventually, I became a part-time team member! 🎬
-
In Operations, I dove deep into Panavision’s world mastering logistics, lenses, film & digital cameras, rigs, accessories, & innovation! 📽️ I helped prep cameras for productions around the globe & collaborated with more than 12 departments! 🌎 I sharpened my creative problem solving skills daily, surrounded by legacy, craft, & pure cinematic magic! 🎞️ And yes now I’m completely spoiled by & obsessed with Panavision’s one-of-a-kind, elite, beautiful lenses! 💎
-
Thank you Panavision for welcoming me into your family & for believing in a passionate Black girl who was curious, determined, & full of fire! 🔥 I’ll always carry the knowledge, inspiration, & lifelong friendships I gained with me! 💘 Forever grateful for PV! 🙏🏽

Joan’s Day Out #written and @directedbyellenhoulihan. "A story that follows a grandmother and granddaughter from an assisted living community to a small town jail? Oh honey, you know we’re on board. Ellen Houlihan’s short film ‘Joan’s Day Out’ stars #Oscar-nominee #SallyKellerman (#HotLipsHoulihan in RobertAltman's #MASH; #BackToSchool with Rodney Dangerfield) and @taralbarr (@hulu’s Casual) as the inter-generational miscreants on a journey of self discovery. It’s funny, it’s heartwarming, it’s full of talented people, and we highly recommend reading more about it right here. Meanwhile, enjoy the trailer and try to stay out of trouble.”- Actress and Director #ElizabethBanks @elizabethbanks @whohaha

Looking forward to watching @marthastewart48’s @netflix doc today! Throwing it back to my days on the Martha show for @nbc. The craziest day of my career was my first day on set. I volunteered as tribute to be @marthastewart’s stand-in so the camera crew could practice blocking and I couldn’t resist imitating Martha as I read the teleprompter and I had NO IDEA Martha and @markburnett13 walked in on me and saw the whole thing!!! Keep in mind she was on house arrest and many people were intimidated by her “frosty” Miranda Priestly image at the time. Luckily, as we now know, Martha has an incredible sense of humor and got a kick out of me breaking the ice, cracking up the whole crew, and wound up requesting me as her rehearsal scene partner for the rest of the week! Takes a Jersey girl to know one 😉 It’s a good thing!

Looking for a fearless funny celebrity director and writer? I’m available! ✍️🎥 @directedbyellenhoulihan EllenHoulihan.com

P.S. Genius summation by #JoanDidion in @newyorkermag: “Martha is in charge, Martha is where most men aren’t and can’t, Martha has her own magazine, Martha has her own show, Martha not only has her own corporation but has it in her own name.

This is not a story about a woman who made the best of traditional skills. This is a story about a woman who did her own I.P.O. This is the ‘woman’s pluck’ story, the dust-bowl story, the burying-your-child-on-the-trail story, the I-will-never-go-hungry-again story, the Mildred Pierce story, the story about how the sheer nerve of even professionally unskilled women can prevail, show the men; the story that has historically encouraged women in this country, even as it has threatened men. The dreams and the fears into which Martha Stewart taps are not of ‘feminine’ domesticity but of female power, of the woman who sits down at the table with the men and, still in her apron, walks away with the chips.”
