Nonsense can come from many angles. In this case it's the marriage of tea and coffee, whiskey and cognac, the thought of an old fashioned but seen through the lens of a baristas eye. None of these alone are revolutionary but together with the backbone of ViceVersa you can create something rich, deep and truly a poem to the new fashioned. This drink is a combination of those two dissimilar and yet collaborative ingredients much like the creation of this between myself and @valentino_longo.

Poesia:
@dussecognac, @makersmark and @avernaus all infused with @rareteacellar 2012 Vintage Barrel Aged Hot Chocolate Pu-erh tea. Then for dilution not water but more of the Pu-erh tea with just a touch of sugar to add both bitterness (instead of bitters) and added flavor to the depth.

Simple. Collaborative. Nonsense.

I love this drink on our @sweetlibertymia menu, an absolute sleeper hit if ever there was one. Taking inspiration from one of the best movies ever (The Big Lebowski) and its iconic homage to said libation (the White Russian), we tweaked it a little (or a lot) to make this sublime version. Enjoy kids 😋

THE DUDE
¾ oz. Mr. Black coffee liqueur
½ oz. Tried & True vodka
½ oz. D’Usse VSOP cognac
½ oz. Licor 43
¼ oz. PX sherry
1 ¼ oz. cream
¼ oz. simple syrup
2 dashes saline
1 dash TBT chocolate bitters
METHOD: Build over crushed ice. Stir
Cap with more crushed ice
GLASS: Double Rocks
GARNISH: Grated dark chocolate
