Our film, An Indivisible Marathon Swim, will be screening Sunday 9/13/26 at 10AM at the @chinesetheatres as part of the @indiewoodfilmfestival in Block JJ.

This is the 2nd film of the Rhythms trilogy, a series about the unseen rituals of inspiring people. In this film, Matthew Biancaniello embarks on a 21 mile swim, just 2 years after major back surgery. Beyond the swim itself, this story is also about why the swim happened - to raise money for the nonprofit Indivisible Arts, which is reshaping the world for kids through teaching consciousness and creativity. I feel so grateful to be trusted to share these stories in this film.

Thank you to @eatyourdrink @mcmaster.peace @indivisible_arts @gourtogo @angybby for everything in making this film a reality!

If you're interested in checking it out and the other films in our block, tickets are available at the Indiewood Film Festival website!

I first met Hugo Cano back in 2011. We worked together a year later at Espresso Cielo and at Transmission LA and in 2013 was the first person I asked to join me at Bar Nine. This year he's the 2026 US Coffee in Good Spirits Champion, the founder of @ambersoncoffee @ambersonroasting and is starting @txtr.coffee in Newport.

I have had the great pleasure of filming part of his journey to competing next week at the World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship for the third film in the Rhythms series for @frequency.cinema, along with his wife and business partner @jessa_cano as they prep for competition in Brussels and manage the buildout of their new shop and roastery in Newport Beach.

The film is called The Spirit of Coffee. I can't wait to share this when it's ready. Hugo and Jessa are inspiring people in coffee and in life. Their partnership and pursuit of their dreams, as well as Hugo's deep connection to the culture of Mexico, has been a gift to participate in in some small way.

60s Album Cover, or stills from a super inspiring shoot? :)

Speak! is the new film I've been working on with Rich Ferguson, one of the most inspiring spoken word poets on the planet. This past weekend, we welcomed in so many incredible voices in poetry and music to help bring this film to life. Thank you to everyone involved for the gift of your time, I can't to share the magic of your words with this film.

And a huge thanks to @andrewsinc / @madlabcoffee for hosting us for this shoot!
