What foods help make a place feel like home? On September 12, we gathered at @fondymarkets Fondy Farmers Market in Milwaukee with growers, shoppers, cooks, and neighbors to talk about the foods our communities grow, seek out, cook, and share. We heard about favorite ingredients, meaningful dishes, crops people would love to see more of, and the foods that can still be hard to find locally. Those conversations gave us a chance to learn from one another and think together about how local farms, markets, and community organizations can best reflect the people they serve. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to share a story, an idea, or a favorite food, and to Chef Jenny for sharing an incredible HMoob cooking lesson!
