POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I do my best to challenge our Fresh Tots, Fresh Kids, and Students teams to create experiences that are fun, welcoming, and rooted in discipleship. Our mission and vision should shape what we plan and what we want our kids and students to learn.

I love creative activities and cool ideas! My challenge is to be intentional about how we use them to help our kids and students know Jesus, understand His Word, build relationships, and put their faith into practice.

We want them to understand early that discipleship isn’t just an adult thing. They can follow Jesus, grow in their faith, and live for Him right where they are, at their age.

The expression doesn’t make worship genuine, but genuine worship has room for expression.

I’ve challenged our church: We’re not trying to create a louder church just for the sake of being loud. We want a passionate church. An expressive church. A church that’s alive. But more than anything, we want to be a church that responds to God.

When we recognize His worth, we have a reason to respond. 🙌🏾

Worship isn’t about the feels. 🎵 Your emotions can participate in worship, but they can’t be the foundation. Just because you cried or got goosebumps doesn’t mean you worshiped. True worship goes deeper than what you feel.

Its been one busy week!! Lord thank you for strength!

I also want to take a moment to say THANK YOU!

Thank you, Fresh Start Church, to every person who has prayed, given, made a commitment, and sacrificed to help us get this far.

I told you I would take you on this journey with us! 🙌🏾🏠.

Today, Fresh Start officially went UNDER CONTRACT! After 10 years of being a portable church, this is a milestone worth celebrating, but WE STILL HAVE WORK TO DO!

When you’re dealing with a corporation, there are so many channels to go through, approvals to secure, and conversations to navigate, but we are here!

We’re moving in faith, grateful to be qualified to take this step while recognizing we still need more to complete the journey.
Would you pray with us for wisdom, provision, and favor with the city as we move through the permit approval process?

We’re grateful for the progress we’ve made toward our $500,000 goal for The Road to Home Building Campaign! We have approximately $360,000 to go to help us acquire our home, prepare it for ministry, and preserve reserves for the road ahead.

Would you prayerfully consider giving?

THE PURCHASE IS NOT COMPLETE YET, but today we celebrate how far God has brought us as we move into our due diligence and move forward in faith. Thank you for walking with us!

To God be the glory! 🙌🏾

New environment, same person = same problems. Real change starts on the INSIDE. Don’t just pray for God to change your situation—pray for Him to change YOUR heart, YOUR mindset, YOUR perspective.

When you transform internally, no external circumstance can reduce you. #freshstartchurch #Transformation #GodWorks #FaithJourney #mindsetmatters

THE ROAD HOME UPDATE 🏠 We are continuing to make progress! We are grateful for every person that have sowed and pledged.

Between what has already been received and what has been committed, we are now at $113,438 toward our $500,000 goal!

That means we have $386,562 remaining. And when you begin to break that number down, you can see it, this is possible. What could happen if we did this together?

Different people. Different amounts. Churches. Businesses. Partners. One goal, helping Fresh Start get HOME.

We’re believing BIG, moving forward in faith, and excited about what God is going to do as more people come alongside us.

If you would like to sow into The Road Home, we invite you to join us.

Your biological family may not always show up for you, but God has a solution. He places you in a church family, spiritual brothers and sisters who genuinely want to see you thrive and succeed. Don’t take for granted the power of having people around you who pray FOR you, not against you. Your church family is your spiritual covering.

Up early, filled with faith. It’s a day of inspections at the building today.

What you’re looking at right now is an empty commercial space, but imagine this… This could be the back of the stage, leading right into a space filled with worship, the Word, prayer and life change.

Right now it’s empty, but we believe this can become a place people encounter God and eventually call home. That’s what The Road to Home is about.

Acquire. Prepare. Preserve.

We’re still about $400,000 away from our Road to Home campaign goal with 33 days remaining, and every gift helps us move another step toward home.

Grateful for Pastors @andy.bernard.79 and @sally_ann_bernard the Thrive Church team for sowing into The Road to Home!

Pastor Andy has seen the Fresh Start journey from the very beginning, and something he said really blessed me. As I was sharing with him about the opportunity, he stopped me midway, and said “No explanation needed.
It was a no-brainer for our church to support you and Fresh Start. Your integrity and the fruit speak for themselves from what we’ve seen over the years.”

That meant a lot, not simply because of the gift, but because of what it represents. People have watched the journey, seen the consistency, and believe in what God is doing through Fresh Start.

We’re grateful for Pastor Andy and Sally, the Thrive Church staff, and every church, pastor, family, and individual who has prayed, encouraged, given, and partnered with us on The Road to Home.

Thank you, @thrivechurchca for standing with us in this season.

Acquire. Prepare. Preserve.
