❤️“I LUV HIP HOP”❤️

In this episode, we sit down with a real-deal Hip Hop head — FREEMAN.

Starting with his upbringing in Australia, Freeman takes us through his journey from listening to MC Hammer, LL Cool J, Kris Kross, and 2Pac in the ’90s, all the way to today’s heavy hitters like Travis Scott, Pop Smoke, and XXXTentacion.

But this isn’t just a conversation about how he got into Hip Hop. It’s about how the culture evolved from music, attitude, and style into a full-on way of life.

Along the way, we get into Hong Kong Hip Hop, the distinct flavor of Cantonese rap, the relationship between R&B and Hip Hop, and even topics like K-pop, commercial appropriation, diss culture, and AI-made music.

This episode isn’t only for die-hard fans of Hip Hop culture. It’s also perfect for anyone who’s ever thought, “I don’t really know Hip Hop, but there’s something about it that hits.”

For those with a latent Hip Hop soul, this one’s for you.

As human beings, we are often inspired by what we love, enjoy and adore, whether it is from art, music, business person or your passion points.

For Novel Fergus and myself, the work ethics and achievements from the likes of @travisscott @asaprocky @lilbaby are artists that we are inspired by.

As for myself, @michaeljackson had been formidable since the 1970s, and I came to become a big a** fan in the 1980s and the luck of meeting him during the 1996 HIStory World Tour was a blessing.

Having said all that, I really really appreciate #NovelFergus taking his artistry and taking his inspirations to try out new ideas and breaking new grounds.

Bounce To This commercial for Otterbox

I did the editing, effects and helped on the direction of the video.

#BounceToThis was the brief delivered by @otterboxasia we took this concept directly to the streets of New York from the ever congested Times Square tourist trap to the historic Chinatown of the Lower East Side.

We brought together a diverse cast of talent including the city’s favorite DJ and socialite @Odalys_ny to set the scene.

We follow the gang as they enjoy a typical day riding the subway and taking selfies until Odalys loses grip of her phone 😮‍💨
… right when you think things are going south, her Samsung Flip is protected by the power of Otterbox ~ bouncin’ right into a world of endless possibilities!

The video was premiered at the UN1TED FashionExpo in HongKong

Special thanks to tonetwisted and @__fresh751__ ! It was an amazing experience to work with you both in this project!🫶
