There’s only a million things to say about how much this award means to me, but to sum it up, i am BEYOND grateful and extremely thankful for all the mentors who have taught me, supported me and encouraged me to be the coach i am today. Thank you to Region 1 for the most amazing 11 years of my life as well as awarding me the Region 1 Scholarship! Thank you to the amazing kids and my sisters who i have the honor to teach, this wouldn’t be possible without them.

Wow. How do you begin to sum up 10 years? It’s with a heavy heart i have to say my acro journey has come to an end. 10 years ago little 5 year old me found acrobatic gymnastics after trying 4 other sports, little did i know that it would be the start of my whole life. Acro has changed me in more ways than i can begin to explain and it has taught me so much. I never believed in myself much as a kid but acro taught me how to be confident and to believe in myself that i was more capable than anything i could have ever imagined. It was a great experience while it lasted. 10 years and 6 partnerships later i will be so beyond grateful for all the friends i’ve made and all that i’ve learned. I will carry on all the advice that was given to me moving forward on to the next chapter of my life. My career all started at @atagymnastics and they helped me set my foundation for me, so thank you to @lanikins23 @nancyfitzgeralddavis @allisonalana for always believing in me and helping me become the athlete i am. Thank you to @slytle85 helping me even when i wasn’t an athlete at ATA anymore. West Coast changed my life and my experience in acro in a way i never thought was possible. It was my first job, and it helped me expand my knowledge in acrobatics and helped me find my passion for working with kids. Thank you to @westcoasttc. My wonderful coaches @mrodrigues82 and Marie helped me through everything in the past couple years and encouraged and motivated me through all the good and bad. You always believed in me even when i didn’t believe in myself and for that i will always be thankful for. To the sport who gave me every part of myself and built my values, you will always have a place in my heart that is irreplaceable. Thank you to my friends and team parents who have cheered and rooted for me all these years, your support meansthe world. I will also miss competing with my sisters @frida_the_acrobat and @gali.pena44. Thank you to my parents for the endless love and support. To the athletes continuing your journey, never stop believing in yourself, remember you are capable of accomplishing big things. 💗
