Thank you, Clark Park Friends ❤️🍅

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to visit us at the Clark Park Markets this weekend and showing your support for Whiskered Away and our very special medical case graduate, Tomato Pie Tom! 🐾

Tom has officially made a full recovery from his entropion surgery and is READY to retire from rescue life and settle into his forever home! After everything he’s been through, we would love nothing more than to see this boy get the happily ever after he deserves.

🍅 A little about Tomato Pie Tom:
He’s officially graduated from medical case status, and now he’s just waiting for someone to make this classic orange boy a permanent member of the family! 🏡

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, made a donation, shopped our table, or helped spread the word about our cats. Your support helps us continue providing care for our medically complex kitties and makes happy endings like Tom’s possible.

Now let’s find this handsome guy a home of his own!

🍅 Interested in adopting Tomato Pie Tom or donating a haunted item for our Halloween fundraiser? Send us a DM!

A little look at our check-in table! We provide extra KN95s, water, hand sanitizer, and Covid rapid tests at our classes.

We love being able to offer supplies to our attendees and people passing by in the park! 💜😷

Image Description: A folding table set up outside on a grassy patch of ground in a park. The table has a silver shiny tablecloth below water bottles, a box of KN95 masks, boxes of Covid rapid tests, a sheet with QR code, and stickers. A banner at the front of the table says Queerobics in purple glitter letters.

Had a great time at Octoberfest at Clark Park, celebrating 1.8 million in state funds I helped secure for the Park Plan!

I was also honored to give away my own hand made wooden bowls, which I carved from the wood of trees at the park. Thanks to everyone who participated in the silent bidding, all proceeds are going to the Woodland Avenue reunion.

🪵🪵🪵 WOOD ALERT!!!! 🪵🪵🪵

Friends I am once again putting up some crafts for sale! This time I'm partnering with @friendsofclarkpark to do a silent auction for 6 bowls as part of their Parktoberfest tomorrow.

The cool thing? These pieces were made with sycamore wood from the park's very own trees! Buy a local piece made from your local park by your local rep!

All proceeds will be donated to the Woodland Avenue Reunion Association, which works year-round to bring together multiple generations of community members born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia.

I hope to see you tomorrow!

Proud to announce I secured another $800,000 in funding for the Clark Park Plan, bringing total grants my office secured for the project up to $2 million!

This Local Share Account award will replace sidewalks throughout the park that are in deep need of repair after decades of heavy use. This will improve traffic flow between park features and accessibility for the park’s many visitors!

I’m proud to help bring more than $6.5 million in LSA grants to Philadelphia and Delaware Counties. From education and youth spaces to parks, infrastructure, and public safety, these investments are helping strengthen our communities and support the people who call them home.
