📣 #Dance2Vote Spotlight: Damned Punk by @friesh! "Damned Punk" was created for the Men Who Dance Festival and explores the evolving roles and identities of men through movement. 🗣️ "This work challenges narrow expectations of masculinity by bringing together performers with distinct physicalities, movement histories, and ways of expressing themselves... it engages with ideas of democracy through representation, individuality, and the coexistence of different voices within a collective." — Choreographer @friesh 🗳️ #Dance2Vote work submissions close October 1! If you have a dance work that engages with ideas around democracy, and/or could inspire voter engagement among dance audiences, please submit a clip at @danceusaorg! 🔗 Cast: Clinton Harris, Jesus Sandoval, Rafael Ruiz-Del-Vizo, Luis Miranda, Luciano Olivieri, Joshua Archibald, Giovanni Castellon, Enrique Villacreses; Costume Stylist: Estefania Delgado; Rehearsal Director: Maria Burt" [Media Description: A vertical reel shows a larger ensemble of dancers, dressed in a mix of white tank tops and colorful pants (yellow, orange, pink, black), performing choreography against a teal-lit backdrop and bare stage. They move through grounded, physical phrases—crouching low, bending at the waist, dropping to the floor, and carrying one another in a group lift. A blue tag reading "@friesh" appears over the footage. Below the video, text reads, "WE DANCED FOR DEMOCRACY. WILL YOU VOTE FOR IT?" and later "SHOW US YOUR VOTE IN MOTION." A red "SPOTLIGHT" badge and the text "#DANCE2VOTE by Dance/USA • THRU NOV 10" also appear, marking the video as part of Dance/USA's Dance2Vote campaign.]

For the final House of Twelve of this chapter, the doors opened to the public. A different chemistry sparked around the table. Three Dissidents tipped the balance, and the House transformed for the second time this summer. Until the House convenes again✨ *** House of Twelve is conceived by Luka Gotsiridze (@lgotsiridze), in collaboration with Inez Barlatier (@inezinezinez_), and presented by Live Arts Labs Alliance (LALA), a creative community program of Live Arts Miami. 📽️: Enrique Villacreses (@friesh).
