And so we are off! The Last Days of Liz Truss returns to the boards in 5 weeks, from March 18th to 29th following a SOLD OUT RUN in December! With 5 star reviews and a “Standout” from The Guardians Mark Lawson, there are rumours afoot of a west end transfer. As much as being a piece about Liz, this brilliant and timely play takes a much broader look at broken systems and the tensions and contradictions at the heart of British and global politics. Which continue to unfold before our eyes. Hugely relevant and thought provoking, you don’t want to miss it. Ticket link in bio - grab them while you can! They went in no time in December.

ONE-NIGHT ONLY! The internationally acclaimed, multi-award-winning Jekyll & Hyde: A One-Woman Show arrives @dundeerep on the 13th of February - tickets are available from their box office now! “You must suffer me to go my own dark way...” Stevenson’s classic science-horror is reborn, with multi-award-winning performer Heather-Rose Andrews in the titular role. Class, terror, and hypocrisy in Victorian London, as the search for self collides with the lure of the sensuous, taking its toll on all around Jekyll & Hyde. Feminist, brutal, elegant, and seductive - this is a dynamic and physical adaptation of Jekyll & Hyde unlike any other. Written & directed by JD Henshaw WINNER – Best Performance – CNS Theatre Awards (2021) WINNER – Theatrical Excellence – Infallible Awards (Edinburgh Fringe 2022) WINNER – Fringe Encore Series – SoHo Playhouse, New York (Prague 2023) WINNER – Italia Off 2024, Milan (Dundee Fringe 2023) ‘The most viscerally convulsive realisation of Jekyll or Hyde imaginable.’ OUTSTANDING @fringereviewuk ‘This piece leaves you breathless; the images haunt. We are whisked away in awe.‘ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @thereviewshub ‘a must watch…pure theatrical brilliance.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @bingefringemag ‘Stunning performance brings clever adaptation vividly to life.’ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @theweereview ‘we couldn’t help but watch despite wanting to turn away in horror’ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @broadwaybabycom ‘Captivating, mesmerising, and as grand as it is intimate…’ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @starburst_mag #theatre #physicaltheatre #horror #solotheatre #dundeerep #robertlouisstevenson #performingarts #dundee #lovedundee #whatsondundee #dundeecity #dundeeandproud #dundeeculture #dundeecityofdiscovery @creative_dundee @dundeecitycouncil @visitdundeecity #fringe #fringetheatre #dundeefringe #worldfringe

Ready for our 2024 roundup? 💜 Ready for 2025…? 😏 ALT Text: We started the year off strong with our production of ‘EDGES’ by Pasek and Paul. The production received 4 and 5 star reviews and was a huge success. We also had our first ‘Next Act’ concert; a platform for rising talent to showcase some of their material and gain a professional credit. In February we platformed more graduates and rising stars with the second instalment of ‘Next Act’ and the first instalment of ‘Phoenix Arts Sings’ which was Pasek and Paul themed. We also saw some upcoming graduates in ‘RENT’ at ArtsEd and got a noise warning at one of our concerts! March was quite quiet for us - we had our third (and final... for now) instalment of ‘Next Act’ and that was it! We were so busy behind the scenes this month that we don’t actually have any highlight photos! However... work started on four exciting projects this month (yes, FOUR!) so we had a lot on our plate… April was great fun - we had our second ‘Phoenix Arts Sings’, which was themed around Pop Icons! We also co-produced a wonderful new musical called ‘Cycles’. Keep a close eye on Lara De Belder and Luka Bjelis - their writing is immense. Later on, we announced our next show - [title of show]! In May we had our 3rd instalment of ‘Phoenix Arts Sings’ - bringing on the challenge of Miscast Musicals! We announced the full cast for our production of ‘[title of show]’, and started casting for some other projects too... At this point, I had FOUR full productions on the go. A crazy month! You can see where my year started to get busier! At the start of June I was a Production Assistant on ‘Spring Awakening in Concert’ - my first West End job! At the same time, we cast our version of ‘Spring Awakening’. We then started ‘[title of show]’ rehearsals - the whole show was blocked in 3 days! (continued in comments)
