I’ve been out of my comfort zone for months, but especially these last few weeks. I went to a whole party weekend, showed up at work events that felt intimidating, and even shared some of my story with someone who wants to include my journey in a gallery alongside photos he took.

My life has completely changed because I keep choosing to pursue the things that scare the shit out of me.

Shoutout to @frn.collective ! They recycle old material like climbing ropes and turn it into some really cool stuff, including this belt I’ve been living in.

Blue Whale - V8

This boulder is unreal. One of the best freestanding boulders I have had the pleasure of coming across. These solo sessions make or break you. Send or be sent! Nothing beats the mindset I get in way high of the ground knowing I cannot mess up. Flow state. There’s something so therapeutic about being in the forest alone. No people, just the sounds of the nature around you and the time to reflect, breathe, and battle a beautiful boulder. This one makes me appreciate the place I live. I threw myself at this thing for 2 sessions and couldn’t figure out the balancy crux to get established standing on the start holds. I kept dry firing off that dam pinch. Ended up doing it this morning off the couch first go. Highball bouldering is to die for! Anyhow, make sure you don’t leave your grills out in the rain! Be such a bust, that grill should rust.

Couple of weeks ago I got to spend a few days in the beautiful wind river range. A spot that’s been on the list to see for a while and I got to do it with a great group of people accompanied by some adventurous and beautifully exposed climbing. A trip to remember and definitely a place to come back to and explore more of!
