Today I finally get to share the cover of my next book:

The Queer Guide to Nutrition and Lifestyle.

Some of you may remember the original version of this book, Naked Nutrition, which was published a few years ago. Since then, I’ve been given the opportunity to write a second edition, and a lot has changed.

I’ve spent the last few years writing about body image, trauma, recovery, identity, nervous system health, and the ways our relationship with food is often about much more than food.

What started as a nutrition book has become something much broader.

Drawing on nutrition science, psychological insight and lived experience, this book offers practical, evidence-informed guidance on building strong foundations for health, navigating weight loss, muscle gain, mental health, sexual wellbeing, gender-affirming care, HIV, fertility and the party lifestyle.

It looks at many of the wider challenges our communities face, from minority stress and shame to healthcare barriers, identity, belonging and the constant pressure to become a better, healthier, more optimised version of ourselves.

It’s the book I wish I’d had when I was younger, and one shaped not only by my professional experience, but by my own journey too.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this project along the way, especially my agent @frogliterary and the team @jkpbooks for giving this book a new life.

Publishing September 2026.

Happy Pride Month! 📚

I got the chance to meet the lovely residents of the first queer care facility in the UK - @tonichousing - where it was a pleasure to read from my book, Letters to my Younger Queer Self, to talk with residents and answer questions.

Thanks so much for having me and what a lovely afternoon.

‘If you are ever in danger, run out into the middle of the street and make as much noise as possible.
That’s what we are told in safety guidance.
So now, more than ever with everything that is happening around us, we need to run into the street and make noise.’

This quote by lan Henzel of @rattlinggoodyarnspress stayed with me, as it encapsulated the feeling I had throughout the weekend of the @coastisqueerfest festival.

A mixture of energy, urgency, inspiration and belonging.

I know it sounds very ‘Instagram caption’ but this was genuinely an event that filled me with gratitude and pride.

How incredibly lucky are we that we get to gather and celebrate queer lives and words.

Ok, I will stop now - check the authors, support queer art, be lovely to each other and stay curious. ❤️

Caffeine, controlled chaos, and community were the running themes of my first day of @coastisqueerfest :

☕️ honeycomb lattes and seaside anticipation.

🪞 A mandatory bathroom selfie (vanity doesn’t abide to lateness).

🔎 Useful insights from the Agent Pannel on visibility and the importance of voice with @abirfellows, @frogliterary, kabliterary, literary.fey, @finnlbrown).

✏️ Inspiring takes from Publishers building queer lists in straight industries (@cipher_press, @jodielancetgrant, @rattlinggoodyarnspress, @hannahchukwu).

👀 And some behind the scenes of how to actually get queer books seen (ellen__jones, @justsammorris, @blackbookbitch, @hannahchukwu).

And of course, working my way through the @citybooksbookshop, aka my most visited spot in Brighton this year.

🎤 The day ended with a thunderous performance of perfection from @jtaylortrash, @keithjlondon, and @xollieox.

Wrapped it all up with a late-night check-in and a Popeyes milkshake - don’t judge me. 🥤

Brighton was already doing the most, and there are two more days to go…

At @coastisqueerfest, when asked about reticence in writing and publishing queer books right now, Ian Henzel of @rattlinggoodyarnspress said this:

“If you ever feel unsafe, run out into the middle of the street and make as much noise as possible.”

“It’s something I was told in a safety in the streets workshop back in NYC in 1973, given by the GY Activists Alliance. it’s stayed with me all these years. And, now more than ever, we need to run into the street and make noise.”

This says everything about why this literary festival is so needed. So glad I went.

Saw some brilliant panels featuring such wonderful people as @abirfellows and @finnlbrown, and all the amazing authors, agents and publishers tagged in these photos.

Big thank you to the organisers 🙏 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
