We’re building a track weapon here, but we want it to be a happy track weapon, not a broken one. So one of today’s upgrades is a bit of a preventative measure. Strut tower failures, while rare, are a known weak point on Porsche GT4 Caymans and some 991s, so we’re going to make sure it doesn’t happen to ours. And speaking of GT4s, we’ve also got an additional mod to do in preparation for the @frogvenom.cn GT4-style carbon-fibre rear diffuser. @air__water was the main target we set ourselves when we started this phase of the Basic Boring Porsche build. We wanted to show that we could take a humble four-cylinder Cayman and park it alongside some of the coolest enthusiast Porsches in Southern California. Mission accomplished! Come with us as we debut the Basic Boring Porsche at Air | Water. It’s a marker moment for the build. However, the journey isn’t over yet. We’ve still got more parts to install before we can unlock the @raggdoll_motorsports power, but in the meantime we’ll be heading into the canyons to test the handling.
