(2024) November journal highlights (1/4) 📚🌱🐟

Shout-out to the incredibly kind individual that sat next to me on the train the other day, complimented my glasses chain and overall style and then upon exchanging instas, proceeded to tell me that they had seen my spreads before like what da hell!!!!

Anyway here's to me forcing myself to go back to posting my backlog here in the hopes it encourages my brain to not hate anything and everything I create with my own two hands 🌟

Kobo sticker refresh 🐸
I bought so many cute stickers from @toastyartmarket last weekend, so along with my growing @slothfulcreations sticker collection I thought it would be a good time to update the back of my kobo.
You may not be able to tell but I kinda love frogs 🤭

Where’s your favourite sticker from??

Day out at Toasty Art Market 🤩

A very mast minute plan turned into a lovely afternoon at @toastyartmarket
There are so many incredible vendors, but you know I had to make a B line for my favourite @slothfulcreations as soon as I saw her and add to my collection!!
The event can be a little overwhelming, but with so many like minded people it’s so worth it! Everyone is so sweet, respectful and just there to support the amazing small businesses 🫶🏻
There may have been a bit of a theme to my haul… just a small one 🐸🤭

I had such a blast at SMASH! last weekend, you guys nearly sold me out!!! It's always so lovely to visit Sydney for such an amazing event each year, I hope to be back next year! (maybe next time I'll explore somewhere different thats not Newtown on my spare Monday ahaha)

Huge thanks to my wonderful stall neighbour @yiranntofu . Also @rosyribbonnails for looking after my stall while I wandered off to visit the @sylvanianfamilies_australia store MANY times ❤️ and @matchayumeau for supplying us with lots of matcha and hojicha drinks all weekend @smashcon

Thank you, Smash 2026 🪼 🍃

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟
Since my very first table in 2022, I've done 20+ more and have events still yet to do in the year!! Being such an unpredictable and deadline-focused job, it's so easy to stay focused on trying to constantly improve and one-up yourself. Bigger table, better displays, more products, more more more. You get so lost in it that you often skip/forget milestones in the rush to chase the next one.

Before this event, I was honestly quite disappointed in myself. That due to my health and struggles, I drew and produced less than what I had hoped to bring along. That I felt like an imposter amongst all the talented individuals in the same space as me.

But when making this post and prompting myself to look back at the very beginning, what a huge difference!! To think that I only had a couple of prints and stickers to my name that I made via Officeworks, as I didn't know about anything else back then. I didn't even have a tablecloth yet!! I still remember the absolute rush from seeing the email and instantly working out a game plan.

To think I was disappointed in myself when 18-year-old me would be over the moon knowing that I managed to continue my dream. 🤍

What an honour it's all been.

With all that being said, thank you!! Smash was so lovely, with so many familiar faces, beloved friends to be silly with and support that reminds me why I continue to do what I do 🫂 ☀️ A very special thank you to my dear sillies @mimic_me_mimi @gem.squire without them I really wouldn't have gotten through the weekend. With the memories all the more sweet with them in it 💐 🌟

I have so much love to continue pouring into what I do, and I hope that you can feel it 🤍 So with much, much love, till next time ☀️

Childhood memories unlocked 🔓🧸🖌️
(+ a June Dump 🤾)
1-4. So we all remember those counter bears, right?
I made a counter bear keychain (traffic light colours) and childhood paint palette keychain !!! Peek at the 948539845 tests I did for the fill stitch for the bear faces HAHAHA. Also fun fact - I first designed the paint palette shapes to be stars (because I didn’t want to just make them circles/ovals) but my mum saw me working on them and said “why not flowers?”. So shout out to my mum for the big brain idea to make them flowers hehehe.
5. Things I was working on in June 🤼
6-8. Progress pics of my Theo and Cori ice skating illustration - yep I restarted the whole thing bc the background/composition was bugging me HAHAH. No regrets restarting, it was one of the hardest illustrations I’ve done colour wise but a digital colour draft in procreate and lots of paint swatches did help!!!
9-10. A very belated and big thank you to everyone who dropped by at @momoartmart last last weekend 😭🫶 thank you for all your kindness, I had the best time, I’m eternally grateful for your support always!!! And thank you soso much to @momoona_ + everyone who helped out at momo for all your hard work and taking care of us over the weekend, forever grateful for the space you’ve made for creatives and to have been part of Frost Fair!!! 🥹🥹🫶🫶
Slept for a week and finished my momo journal spread w the sweetest stickersssss hehe - go check out all the tagged artists, big fan of their stickers + work !!!! 🥹🥰
11. I’ll be at @httpsweettooth next!!!! I’ll be at table 12, hope to see you then!! A lil peek at some of my new sticker sheets. Also, if you missed out on the embroidered keychain/patches that sold out at Momo, I’m currently working on making more for Sweet Tooth 🏋️ OKIE BRB gotta get back to prep, take care always, stay warm !!!!
