Last high school choir concert 🥹 I’m so thankful for choir and all the opportunities, relationships, and fun it’s led me to! Without choir, I wouldn’t be as good of a worship leader at church, I wouldn’t be with Kevin, I wouldn’t have some of my closest friends, and I would’ve missed out on so much fun! I’m so thankful for Southside choir and all it’s given me! Choir is definitely one of many blessings in my life, and God willing I’m so excited to continue my choir journey in college!!

I’ve been waiting until I felt mentally ready to make this post, but honestly, I don’t think I ever truly will be… so I’m sorry if this is long. It's the last one.

This program has been one of the biggest parts of my life for the past four years. It’s where I learned, laughed, cried, lost my mind, and enjoyed overall. It’s where I met some of the closest friends I could ever ask for, and where I learned that no matter what the world throws at you, you never give up, because somehow, you always make it through.

This room was more than just a classroom to me. It became my safe place, my second home, and a space that will forever hold a piece of my heart.

Mr. Thames, I will always cherish the moments and the long, deep conversations we shared, even if one of us usually ended up in tears by the end of them. I am who I am today because of the impact you made on my life, and for that, I will always be grateful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
(And yes, we will always share cheesecake no matter the distance.)

To my lowerclassmen: we are not only leaving a program, but we are also leaving behind the walls that watched us grow. Now it’s your turn to let those same walls help you grow too. This program may not be perfect, but we are leaving it in safe hands, and I know each of you will continue making it something special.
