Y’all named some of our favorite cousins in the comments of our 8/31 post so we’re back with the homies while we get to know some of the newer brands y’all called out.

Like last time, every brand in this carousel has already been part of BuyBLK. ByBLK., showing up, setting up shop and helping us build this thing. Consider this your cue to put something in the cart. 🛍️
Already know one of these brands? Tell the cousins what to buy first. Still have a name for us? Drop it below.
Black-owned brand interested in vending with us? Apply at brands.buyblkbyblk.com.

“In the Shadows Light” explores what it means to create from behind the scene and to shape, direct, and craft art while allowing others to step into the light. As a founder, my role shifted from being a full-time musician to becoming a creative director, highlighting others and creating space for them to explore identity through design. @fromthearxhive has fostered a different version of myself. It has allowed me to go deeper into my imagination and place me in spaces where my own shadow could be seen through the light. It has kept me close to the craft while moving me further away from perception. This story is an exploration of the why and how—being in the shadow and cultivating a deeper level of creativity. I’m forever grateful to everyone who played a major role in bringing this vision to life, especially my graphic designers and my community. This one is for the craft, the process, and everyone who continues to create in the spaces between the light and the shadow Creative Director : @_lawdp Filmed and edited by : @st.braille Strategy : @rahwam Story written by @_lawdp @rahwam Writer : @_lawdp Brand : @fromthearxhive
