#whosethatwaterfordwednesday is back! I’m now with my friend Shannon from Waterford Town Hall.

She is the Executive Assistant to First Selectman @rob_brule . She has a slew of responsibilities. She plans all the major events in town, including the tree lightings, Harvest Festival, and all the other community engagement events that keep me employed. Don’t forget, the Waterford Parade is August 8th!

Shannon helps run the Town of Waterford website and completes agendas for the Board of Selectmen Meetings. She is the first person you talk to when you go to @rob_brule ‘s office, so she talks to almost as many people that pet me everyday. 🤣

Shannon just retired from being the @griswoldhscheer Coach and even won Coach of the Year! Sometimes I need some cheering up. Maybe she can coach my leash holder now. 🤷‍♂️

Peacocks 🦚 check out the symbolism

Somedays we struggle and thats ok because no one is looking for perfection . Look to be an original, look to be real and look to lead by example

Our support and our messages come when and from where we would never expect at times..

God knew I was struggling today and he sent a multitude of Peacocks to remind of who I am and the mission I'm on..

Even on our bad days we can make a difference

Complacency is the worst C word in the English language...

We the American people, some have become desensitized and comfortable with what is going on around them as long as it doesn't impact them, their families, or their livelihood. We scroll, we ignore or we say not my problem.

Reality check, eventually all of it will impact all of us.

Step outside your comfort zone and stand up for your morals and beliefs. Fight for America and what it should stand for.

It just takes one person to make a difference, one person can lead by example and one person can empower others to be the change they want to see.

You do not Only live Once but you do only die once. So get up everyday and live like you have something to prove to yourself, which you do, be better than the day before. Even if that means all you do is hang on till tomorrow.

Each day above ground is an opportunity to heal, to grow, to learn new things and to make a difference.

Live is meant to be lived which will include set backs, fails and road blocks. YOUR PAST DOES NOT DEFINE YOU. How you handle falling down , getting back and the lessons learned does.

Perfection is not an expectation and should not be a goal. Being real, being a good person and leading by example is a goal.

The world needs more people to keep it open, raw and show others that we do get back up, we do conquer our demons and we do win!!

Winning isn't defined by money or clout, it's defined by how many lives you can positively impact.

Be the change you want to see, show the world that kindness and compassion still exist but stand tall and strong on your morals and be passionate about unifying people rather than speaking hate.

It just takes 1 to make a difference

"May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
1 in 5 is the number of people who will be affected by mental illness in any given year. This person is sitting next to you, this person is living in your house, this person is a part of your family or this could be you.

A semicolon is a pause. A pause to let the reader know there is more to the story.
The semicolon can be described as stronger than a comma but weaker than a period. However the semicolon is more than just this as it continues the sentence where a period could be placed.

I am stronger than my depression and anxiety. I am more than what it tells me I am but it doesn't end me. I have more to my story and so do you. Share it, talk about it and reveal it. There is no shame. Don't let it become your end. Let it be a part of your story. One that you overcome every day.

Support your 1 in 5. Show them you see them. You hear them. You love them. Show them their illness does not make them less of a person

My name is Christine and I am 1 in 5

Remember everyone deployed and those who have returned

Take a moment and pray for those deployed, ask the Lord to bless them with Grace and Peace . Be grateful for those men and women who have chosen to give their lives for our Freedoms.

Let's also remember our Combat Veterans, those who returned to a life they no longer knew. They left it all on the battlefield, they left their souls and sanity as they once knew it behind on enemy soil.

We need to remember all who have served , are serving and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives.

It just takes one to make a difference
