Five Points Live! Jazz & Roots Celebration returned to The Savoy for its second year, filling our historic ballroom with incredible live music, vibrant energy, and a celebration of jazz.

From the sounds of Laurie D’s Jazz Duo on the mezzanine to performances by Linda Theus-Lee, Frontier Ruckus, and Jaik Hakkarinen with Gonzalo Teppa and George Gisbert, the evening brought together artists, local food, sweet treats from Thick’s Gelato, and a crowd ready to celebrate.

A huge thank you to @five.pointslive the artists, vendors, and everyone who joined us for another sold-out celebration.

Frontier Ruckus’ Matthew Milia talks with KGNU’s Indra Raj about the band’s Michigan roots, their eclectic blend of folk, bluegrass and pop influences, and the role of dense, detailed lyricism in their music. Milia reflects on the band’s evolution, his love of ’90s pop, and finding a renewed sense of joy in music after years of touring. Frontier Ruckus returns to Colorado for two intimate shows, including an October 9 performance at eTown Hall in Boulder, with former bandmate Anna Burch rejoining the group for the first time in years.

We look forward to welcoming Frontier Ruckus on October 9.

@frontierruckus finds beauty and heartbreak in the details of Midwestern life. For nearly two decades, Matthew Milia’s vivid songwriting, David Jones’ banjo and the band’s close harmonies have made those everyday stories feel both personal and familiar.

Hear them at eTown Hall on October 9, with Colorado’s @road_pony joining. Find tickets in our bio.

October 9: Frontier Ruckus, with Road Pony, at eTown Hall.

Michigan’s @frontierruckus pairs richly detailed, literary songwriting with a restless strain of indie folk, built around acoustic guitar, banjo, trumpet, musical saw and the loose edges of rock & roll. Across nearly two decades together, Matthew Milia and the band have developed a sound that can feel intimate and sprawling at once.

They'll be joined by @road_pony, with @meganburtt and @laurenfrihauf leading a Colorado lineup that tips its hat to Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn and classic country while making the songs their own.

Just announced: Frontier Ruckus and Road Pony perform at eTown Hall on October 9.

For nearly two decades, @frontierruckus has turned the details of Midwestern life into deeply specific, beautifully strange folk songs.

Led by songwriter Matthew Milia with longtime bandmates David Jones and Zachary Nichols, Frontier Ruckus has built a dedicated following on both sides of the Atlantic, with appearances at Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo along the way.

Their latest album, On the Northline, continues a catalog known for intricate lyrics, banjo, unexpected instrumentation and unmistakable harmonies.

Colorado's @road_pony opens the night with its own spin on classic country, led by Megan Burtt and Lauren Frihauf and backed by some of the area's finest players.

Tickets are now on sale.

A humbly offered homage to the amazing @frontierruckus and their song Silverfishes🙈
Is it perfect? Nope.
Is this even the whole song? No it is not.
Is this one of my all-time fav songs by one of my all-time fav bands? YES!
Have I been planning to record this video and post it for literally like two years now but because of perfectionism was in danger of eternal procrastination??? Most definitely!
* @matthewmilia I apologize in advance for any incorrect lyrics!
