🎬 LIGHTS, CAMERA, THE FRONT ROOM! 🎥✨

The Croydon International Film Festival is taking over Croydon this November, and we're excited to have The Front Room in St George's Walk as one of our official festival venues! 🎉

🎞️ Film Screenings: Discover powerful stories, fresh perspectives and incredible films from talented filmmakers.

🎤 Filmmaker Q&As: Go beyond the screen and hear directly from the creative minds behind the films. Discover the inspiration, challenges and stories that brought their visions to life.

🤝 Creative Connections: Meet fellow film lovers, filmmakers and creatives in a welcoming space where conversations and ideas can flourish.

At CIFF, we believe great cinema isn't just about what happens on screen. It's about the conversations it starts, the communities it brings together and the connections it creates.

We're proud to be bringing film and culture into the heart of Croydon, celebrating the brilliant venues and spaces that make our borough so special. ❤️

What an afternoon!

Here's a look back at some of the highlights from our Elevation Event! 🎥✨

So many gems shared, thought-provoking conversations, laughter, new connections and beautiful impromptu singing! 🎶

A huge thank you to our wonderful speakers, Anne-Marie Walker and Lorlett Hudson, for sharing their knowledge, experiences and cultural wisdom, and to all the Sistars who joined us and made the afternoon so special. 🌟

It It was a joy to see women from different generations and walks of life coming together to learn, reflect, share and feel held. 🤎

Community. Connection. Cultivation. 🤎

🎭 270 shows and still shaking things up.

Croydonites Festival returns this November with another gloriously unpredictable programme – from award-winning theatre and comedy to close-up magic, film recreations, lesbian slime wrestling and even an absurd show about toast! 🍞

Now in its 12th year, Croydonites continues to champion bold new performance and nurture local talent.

We caught up with directors Anna Arthur, Katie Hurley and Sophie Eustace to talk Edinburgh Fringe discoveries, Croydon’s growing film credentials, supporting local artists and whether there’s such a thing as too weird for Croydonites.

🇬🇧 Our first performance together! ❤️🎤

We stepped on stage together for the very first time and performed the beloved Ukrainian song “Chervona Ruta” 🇺🇦✨

Open Mic Night at Stage One in @frontroomspace was such a special evening for us — two sisters, one stage and a Ukrainian song that brings generations together. ❤️

A big thank you to @whitehutstudios for organising this wonderful evening and giving young performers the opportunity to perform, grow and gain valuable stage experience. 🎤✨
