Two years ago, I took a leap of faith and moved to a new city, not knowing what would unfold. I threw myself into the community; networking, exploring, and discovering the gems Macon had to offer. Ten weeks ago, I took another leap and joined the NewTown Entrepreneurship Academy to breathe new life into a brand I started in 2019 – @frotality . We all know how life happens. Sometimes, what we want to be the main thing just can’t be (at least not yet). But I was reminded a few months ago that God makes everything beautiful in His time. And while I’ve been waiting for that time, I’ve been laying the groundwork, piece by piece, for a legacy I believe in. Pitching my business with my Mom and Grandma in the audience was a moment I will never forget. There were countless times I felt like giving up because I couldn’t see the “HOW” in all of it. But faith is a walk of trust, even when the path isn’t clear. And Tuesday night, that faith paid off … I took home $5,000 for Frotality! Winning first place in the pitch competition isn’t just a win for me it’s a win for anyone who dares to dream, to start over, to keep going when it doesn’t make sense yet. But I couldn’t have made it here alone. I owe so much to my incredible community of friends and mentors who helped me get to the finish line. The ones who never let me forget who I was when doubt crept in. Your belief in me has been a lifeline. And to my amazing classmates, Congratulations! We did it! It’s been an honor learning alongside such passionate and driven entrepreneurs. Thank you to NewTown Macon, and everyone who’s been a part of this journey. Stay tuned for this next iteration of Frotality, it only gets better from here!

Yesterday, “Ms. Chaz” had the chance to be in the classroom with some bright young minds, sharing her journey from a kid winning contests wielding crayons, to a dynamic graphic designer and entrepreneur. Together we redefined “Getting to the BAG”: Embracing Belief, Authenticity, and Grit to become unstoppable BOSS BIZ KIDS. Giving back to them gave back to me in SO many ways. These kids are everything! Each of them has their own set of superpowers that will truly make them phenomenal entrepreneurs already. I look forward to seeing them grow! Tremendous thanks to Sierra Martin and @sparkmacon for thinking of me to to be one of the speakers for the Lemonade Stand Entrepreneurship Program. A note about friendship… Back in 2020 I couldn’t sleep for literally a week. In the middle of the night I would wake up, pray and brain dump ideas for what now has become Pieces Of a Woman (POW). I shared the idea with 5 of my closest friends, 1 of the 5 being @chazney.thomas Chaz literally sat on FaceTime for hours with me. I talked out my vision and she transformed them into what is now the visual aesthetic for POW. Chazney developed color schemes, concepts, and ALL of the book cover designs. Literally everything God gave me in the middle of the night, she brought to life.
