1 month of my tiramisu shop!

It’s been such a joy serving new faces and welcoming regulars at @eatgiuseppes! honestly, it’s not been as busy as I expected. And I’m learning that that’s ok. At my pop-up kitchen I was stretched way too thin, so for the shop I scaled right back and focused on just tiramisu, but naturally offering just one single product is going to be a harder sell as there’s less choice, also about 1 in 3 of you are asking when the pasta is coming back so i hear you. growing a business isn’t linear and i’m learning that in real time.

we received a few 1 star reviews highlighting feedback about our biscuits and sizing, so we’ve launched a smaller £7 size, offered different biscuit bases, and made the coffee stronger. keep it coming.

some wins from month one:

🎃 we introduced our pumpkin spice special with @liamcbakes

🤝 working with some really cool brands (more on that soon)

📦 you can now preorder for pick up AND get local delivery, all via the link in our bio @eatgiuseppes

behind the scenes we’re working on:

☕ a drink… swipe to the last slide for a peak 👀

🍮 a classic flavour, by far your most requested
Question is, alcohol or no alcohol in the classic? 🍷

drop in the comments what flavour i should do next 👇

I have severe case of separation anxiety after departing my friends and our easy riders.

18-21 October: post typhoon which meant heaps of flooding and landslides. Most roads were closed the week or so before we got there so we were stressing on whether we were actually gonna be able to do it.

We left everything so last minute and booked our bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang 12 hours before we left. Copped the 6 hour sleeper bus the next morning which was the last day my ass didn’t hurt for a long time 🫦

Few things I learnt:

1. Happy water is goated with little to no hangover
2. The little Vietnamese kids love sticking the finger up when you drive past them (even when you wave)
3. If you go to the op shop in Ha Giang the day before the loop and pick stupid outfits for each other, the day is 5x more fun and drinking is 10x more acceptable at 8am in the morning
4. Aussies are literally everywhere no matter where you are in the world and you can see or hear them from a mile away (mullets and vapes)
5. Your ass is gonna hurt real bad during and after the loop unless you train for the butt stuff already
6. The locals and the easy riders are so lovely and most people tip their driver generously after the loop finishes
7. Karoake causes more fights than monopoly
8. If you don’t eat meat, tell the captain, or you’ll end up eating something cooked in chicken broth prolly
9. Holiday cigs don’t count
10. Holiday beers don’t count

I will be back Vietnam 🇻🇳❤️

It was great meeting all of y’all over in the UK, the food was top tier, the people were lovely, and the heatwave was just the absolute best (especially when none of your houses have fans and aircons, hooray!! 😍👏)

I am now going back to bed cause someone decided to put Australia on the opposite side of the world and now I’m heavily jet lagged. Luv yas byeeee 🫶
