A post little me never thought I’d ever get the chance to post!

Cheer has been my LIFE ever since I was little. I have been attending highschool nationals since 2013 rooting for the people I love most. My sister, my best friends, and eventually girls that I have coached too! My whole life I dreamed of being on a team and competing on the nationals stage but I was never confident in myself enough to do so.

After attending college nationals last year, and seeing Dylan out there doing what he loves, and being a part of his “big moment” and making history… it made me crave it even more. I was convinced by everyone around me to go for it because it was KNOWN how regretful I was that I never cheered in high school.

Honestly, I cried a lot, felt so many emotions, but still nothing got me to say yes and just do it. THIS YEAR was different. I went back to school as a 23 year old, and joined @fsccheer

Emotional roller coaster doesn’t even express my feelings throughout the year. I met great people, and truly got to experience my dreams that always was just a “dream” in my head. I have a deep love for cheer, and quite honestly one that I don’t think will ever go away. Putting this uniform on was probably one of the most unreal experiences, and one of those things I was like… IS THIS REAL?

I can go on and on about how grateful I am to have been able to push past those thoughts that held me back, but this year changed me. Being on a team taught me so much about myself and made me realize that people’s support makes a HUGE difference. That I wasn’t always just meant to be in the stands rooting for everyone else. The love you all showed me, made me love what I did even more.

Cheerleading, I love you and thank you for being in my life, and to myself… I’m so PROUD of you and for making your dreams come true of BEING a cheerleader.

Last night at halftime of @fscmensbasketball game vs. Sarah Lawrence, @fsccheer was recognized for placing 3rd in the nation in the Open Small Coed Game Day category at the UCA College National Competition in Florida in January. This marks the first time in program history that the team has earned a national podium finish. This accomplishment sets a new standard for the program and inspires future athletes to aim even higher. Congratulations!
