Saturday 3 October we welcome the darker months of the year with the sounds of Pesticide, Verval and Aufhebung. Especially for the melancholic souls among us ❤️‍🔥 AUFHEBUNG: slow sludgy riffs and frantic screeching guitars, melancholic harmonies and dissonant droning. This awesome post-metal band, coming to us from Belgium, is reflective of our world in decay and make you feel it. VERVAL: post/crust metal band. Born out of the catacombs and ruins of the Belgian punk/crust scene. Combining bits and pieces of black & death metal, post rock and neo crust they create an epic storm of noise. With lyrics about their personal downfall as well as the decay of our planet, Verval paints a dark picture of a grim future for us all. PESTICIDE: also from Belgium, this melodic crustband. Their music is inspired by anarchism, activism, DIY-culture and social themes - perfect for Orkz Bar! Doors 21.00 / First band 21.30 / Bring cash Beautiful poster by @fsrekker 🖤

Out Now: The Fifth Alliance - Stenahoria "Stenahoria is an atmospheric powerhouse, but also has brutally sharp teeth. It’s post-metal worldbuilding, doom metal power, and post-blackened ferocity all rolled into one compelling, emotion-rich ball of sorrow and claws." - @wonderboxmetal "The album is a deliberate confrontation with discomfort, a cathartic experience where intensity and vulnerability collide to create a sound that refuses to let go." - @metaltempleofficial "The word “stenahoria” refers to a deep sense of emotional distress, anguish, sadness, or anxiety, derived from words meaning “narrow space,” and metaphorically signifying feeling suffocated, confined, or troubled. In other words, that’s exactly what you’ll feel while listening to the new album by The Fifth Alliance, with their dark music suffocating you until you can’t breathe anymore." - @theheadbangingmoose "It is an album that does not promise catharsis, but rather leaves it as a possibility—depending on whether the listener is willing to traverse the path from despair to the search for hope." - @metalwar.gr "A cathartic clash of intensity and fragility, Stenahoria lingers long after the final note fades, not as escape, but as reckoning." - Kronus Mortus News "Although Thelen joined only last year, “The Fool on the Hill” shows that her inclusion was seamless. It’s hard to believe she wasn’t a member of The Fifth Alliance from their inception, given how well her vocals pair with them." - @invisibleoranges "If this is the start of a new era for the band, they have a solid future ahead" - @angrymetalguy Pressing info: 50x Green / White Splatter Vinyl (Almost gone) 150x Black Vinyl 50x Black Cassettes (Almost gone) Other color tape available at @breatheplastic CD available via @arduamusiclabel SHIPPING NOW Artwork by @fsrekker

As the cold death of winter thaws, and spring brings forth new life, so too do we transform. We’ve been feeling for a while that we’ve outgrown our old selves and former name, Slumbercloud; likewise, our music has drastically shifted and changed since our start in 2022, and our newest work (most of it yet to be shared) has taken a sharp turn towards the experimental. Thus, we present the latest chapter of our band: VRLCHT. It is time to grow. Our old music will remain online and accessible under the Slumbercloud moniker, but we are moving forward from it, including at live shows. With the birth of VRLCHT will come new music: our latest composition, ‘Ode’. A single long-form piece, recorded live together in a single take at @warehouse37studio, ‘Ode’ is our observation of the hell that is creeping fascism, and our condemnation of it and those who choose inaction in its face. ‘Ode’ will be self-released this autumn, digitally and on vinyl. It’s a ways out from now, but we have so much to share on the way to release day. Thanks to everyone in our community and our friends and musical comrades for your continued support, it means the world to us. More to come soon. The Fifth Alliance - Stenahoria In 2026 The Fifth Alliance returns with their new album ‘Stenahoria’ – a dark and compelling work that once again pushes the boundaries between doom, post-, and black metal. Central to this musical storm is new singer Natalya, whose voice elegantly switches between raw intensity and fragile beauty. With her versatile vocal range, she elevates the band's sound to a new, emotionally charged level –from haunting whispers to heartbreaking wails. An album that not only sounds heavy, layered and full of intensity, but also gets deep under the skin. Reinforced by the powerful additions of vocalist Natalya Thelen (ex-Yantras) and drummer Peter Scheffer (also in Soliton), the band entered the studio in June/July 2025 to record a new album. Recorded by Lander Cluyse at Hearse Studio (BE) and expertly mixed and mastered by Mendel bij de Leij (ex-Aborted), the new album is characterized by its massive, crushing riffs, icy atmospheres, and a profound sense of bleakness, inviting listeners into an intense, sonic journey through distress and introspection. Stenahoria stems from the shared human experience of sorrow, fear, and confinement, a thread woven through every aspect of this album. These raw emotions shaped not only the narratives but also the sonic depth, pushing the album into more aggressive and immersive landscapes. The music builds pressure — layered, atmospheric, and visceral — with Natalya’s voice guiding listeners from fragile whispers to raw intensity. The album is a deliberate confrontation with discomfort, a cathartic experience where intensity and vulnerability collide to create a sound that refuses to let go. Stenahoria will be released on vinyl via Tartarus Records, cassette via Breathe Plastic and Tartarus Records and on CD via Ardua Music. Pressing info: 50x Green / Black / Clear Splatter Vinyl 150x Black Vinyl 50x Black Cassettes (Tartarus) 50x Bone Cassettes (Breathe Plastic) CD available soon via Ardua Music Release date: May 29th Pre-order link in bio Artwork by @fsrekker
