We’ve been making mini trips to a new city all summer… one that we’re calling home too 💛 Hello, Seattle! 🏙️🌲

Life sometimes has a way of shifting our plans and asking us to adapt, and this next chapter is bringing a new city into the mix. We’re excited to meet new friends, explore more of the Pacific Northwest, and become part of a new community 🥰🐾

But don’t worry — Hawai‘i will always be a huge part of our lives and our hearts 🌺♥️ We’ll continue to support and help manage Linda’s Colony, sharing updates and fundraising for as long as the kitties need us. We have an amazing group of volunteers on the ground who we’re constantly in touch with, and our commitment to the colony isn’t changing just because we’ll be a little farther away.

And Vancouver? That will still be in the mix too ✈️🐾

Here’s to new adventures, new friends, and bringing a little aloha with us wherever we go 🌺💛

Thank you @fsseattle for being one of very few hotels in the city that are actually cat friendly when saying they’re pet friendly! ♥️

A little anniversary love for these two!

Yesterday marked one year since Sam and Robi said “I do” at the Seattle Art Museum, and what better excuse to revisit their beautiful wedding day?

There’s something so special about wedding films. The photos bring you back to a moment, but hearing the voices, the laughter, and seeing everyone in motion? That’s a whole different kind of nostalgia.

Today, we’re letting their highlight film do the storytelling, beautifully captured by Stan, our lead videographer.

And a little love for The Captured Collective! Ike and Stan teamed up to document this celebration, bringing together photography and film to tell the story of their day.

Happy first anniversary, Sam + Robi! Wishing you many more years of love, laughter, and beautiful memories together.

The most beautiful place in Seattle for the views

@fsseattle is definitely at the top of my list of places to watch sunsets on such beautiful days in the city. The terrace with its heated pool, rooms with stunning views, and fine dining at @goldfinchtavern make it an unbeatable place to stay in downtown Seattle.

The best memories 🤍

Bathed in crimson draping and candlelight, Reneille and Brian’s winter wedding transformed the luxe Four Seasons Hotel Seattle ballroom into an immersive experience of love and tradition. Floor-to-ceiling red velvet softened the scale of the space, while crystal chandeliers flickered overhead, casting warm light across black tabletops, ivory seating and hundreds of glowing candles in saturated shades of garnet. The effect was a moody and romantic vibe—a reflection of the couple’s January date and their “Shades of Love” dress code, which invited guests to dress in red with touches of black.

As the owner of Seattle-based @gianevents , Reneille approached the design with a planner’s eye for atmosphere. Oversized fabric swags stretched dramatically across the ceiling and converged above a circular white dance floor where the ceremony took place beneath sculptural arches wrapped in soft ivory fabric. Even the custom ice luge carried the couple’s “R&B” monogram, a nod to their shared initials and their love of early-2000s R&B music.

Tell me your favorite restaurant and I will tell you it will have a lot to do with the quality of lighting. Warm glow, up, lighting, candlelight, dim, comforting, incandescent. My hand blown glass lighting has set the mood, and cast a warm gorgeous glow (for 11 years!) on the patrons and staff of the Four Seasons Seattle + Goldfinch Tavern by @chefethanstowell @fsseattle @goldfinchtavern
🕯️💡💓🍽️🍷

Even if the food is amazing, if I’m sitting under a harsh, over bright LED, overhead creating shadows, flicker, and a migraine— I’m out of there. 🏃‍♀️😰

Thank you as always GoldFinch for being such a gorgeous place of food, design, hospitality and beauty. 🔆🔆🔆 much love, Julie
