$🐐. #fbf Boston Garden 6\25\89. Sunday...Boston Shootout Final: 💚🤍BOSTON-L.A.💛💜. 🐐... A few yrs ago our page was pickin up steam and full of #tb Boston🏀. I was always partial to THE Boston Shootout’s I’d experienced as a teen(‘70s)-and ✍🏽extensively bout em. They were lee-git HAPPENINGS. Too bad “The 🌍” wasn’t checkin FOR “Boston 🏀”[talkin to U, SLAM magazine!] because I’ve 👀 enuff “HS\Prep\Youth🏀” in otha areas to know-there’s neva been a SHOW like 6\25\89 @ The Boston Garden. Greatest Shootout of ‘em all? PLEASE. Hollywood COULDN’T HAVE SCRIPTED THIS!!!.... ⏳In May 1982 our beloved, defending-NBA Champion ☘️Celtics weren’t gonna get by the hated Philly Sixers in ECF Gm7...AT Boston Garden. We HATED the 6’ers, yet outta nowhere-only seconds to go in the L...OUR FAN’S began an iconic chant...TO THE 6’ERS- “🗣BEAT L-A! BEAT L-A!!!” We HATED Los Angeles MORE💯. #RESPECT. BOSTON🏙. Then, The NBA Finals from 1984-1987 were between BOSTON💚-L.A.💜...3 outta those 4 yrs. THAT’S the atmosphere and set-up for these HIGH SCHOOL KIDZ-⭐️’s-from their respective cities that HOT, June Sunday. Unh-huh... “NBA Gm7”-like feeling. BOSTON-LA, had went THRU noted 🏀hotbed cities like DC, ATL. I’m only sad that fa me-it WAS “The🔥88 Era”[1989]...I was 26yrs old ‘n by game time a lil 🍻up. 🥴So even tho I was THERE, Ion remembah this ABSOLUTE CLASSIC as I SHOULD. As I do, say, 1977🏆(⭐️Chan!)...1985🏆(⭐️Dana!). But I’ll NEVA FUHGET ⭐️TRENT FORBES! ⭐️FUDGE MUMFORD! ⭐️SLY MABRY! ⭐️ERIC BRUNSON! ⭐️TROY BROWN! ⭐️CHRIS HAVLICEK! ⭐️JUDDY MCDONALD! ⭐️JAMES BROWN! ⭐️RICKY RODERICK! And My Gawd...🤭THE BLOCK BY DUXBURY MA future 🍟All-American, BC🦅⭐️, & NBA PLAYA ⭐️BILLY CURLEY!!!!! There’s a whole lot MORE 2 this, but here’s THE BLOCK🏆...and if ur a followah & fan of anything “BOSTON 🏀”...U too should remembah\know those ⭐️NAMES. RIP🙏🏽SYLVESTER “SLY” MABRY(#23💚)..... 🎥credits:⭐️Abner Logan•Coach•YouTube\📰Globe *future-NBA players IN THIS GAME: 💛💜Tracy Murray...Adonis Jordan...Mitchell Butler||💚🤍Billy Curley...Eric Brunson. **DAMN-this🎥 was s’pose to INCLUDE “slo-motion” replay of THE BLOCK!(👀 stories)...$

$#fbf ⭐️… appears current, wildly-successful Camden HS(South Jersey) Coach ⭐️ERIC BRUNSON will be back on an NBA bench-again as an Asst under ⭐️Tom Thibodeau…this time wit da NY Knicks. ⭐️”Thib’s” also a native as he’s from New Britain CT & Coached a few of our ⛹🏽⭐️’s from my era rite here @ Salem State in da early ‘80s before earning a 🏆 wit the ☘️C’s as ⭐️Doc Rivers’ Assoc HC! Knicks prolly also still got 👀 on ⭐️Rick’s son ⭐️Jaylen…we’ll see how dat plays out… Any reason to salute our 🏀legends works here: #SALUTE Salem’s ⭐️E.Brunson. I like to point out about that Championship-effort by Boston in that 1989 Boston Shootout-🎥pg3-that year NY came up with an “All-American” Gaurd in ⭐️Adrian “Red” Autry(🍟’90) who was just a JR(“All-Tourney”)…and U can 👀 in quick hilite DC’s ⭐️Gaurd ⭐️Curt Smith greetin our Gaurds at Stahtin Lineups-he’s a DC 🏀LEGEND💯 who also made “All-Tourney”…but THE-best Gaurd’s IN ‘89 Shootout were OUR ⭐️Lloyd “Fudge” Mumford(#11) & #32 ⭐️Trent Forbes. Period. That 24\21pts they gave DC on Day 1? Fam, they were jus gittin stahted!!!🏆 #SalemWitches🏀 #BostonShootout ⭐️BRUNSON’S… 🎥📸credits: Boston Globe📰\ YouTube\ Camden High🏀\ Hoops Hype\ @tycontower8020_🤞🏽. *Ps- ⭐️E.Brunson came BACK to THE Shootout as a JR…& as Co-MVP of McD’s🍟 in his Sr year-‘91-to do #️⃣’s #’s in BOSTON…but ‘89 was da 🏆-YEAR!!!!💚🤍 **FULL-disclosure: 🥴…I remembah sittin @ B.U. June 1989 as ⭐️Fudge Mumford bopped out for intro’s wit da “Bobby Brown-slant💈”…and then hitop💈-rockin, ligtskin-ded[😂], dude from “Salem HS” trotted out…and I was like 😳”ERIC…WHO???!!!” Ayo Boston-& Salem-🙋🏽‍♂️MY BAG❣️$
