Our Lil Dumplings 1st birthday 🧋🥠🥡🥮… Asian themed with Boba drinks, boba cake, bao accents, fortune cookies, Panda Express, etc …

We also had Elote, candy sushi, the most beautiful decorations some displayed- some not- most destroyed by the wind lol 🤣🤣 but most importantly she was surrounded by people that love & adore her as much as Steve and I.

Parenthood means going with the flow and letting go of expectations &&& quite honestly IM PROUD OF MYSELF!

Anyone up for a nice piece of Pear Galette this morning? ! Ooh La La!! “Galette” ,A fancy French word to designate that this is in fact a round or free form crusty cake.. I’d say more of a pastry seeing that I used puffed pastry.. it looks good but the low sugar content I used really couldn’t pull the sweetness from the over ripe pear ,unlike the apple and peach!! Any ideas for next time? Maybe I will add apple next time.. I had 4 extremely ripe pears.. i’m wondering if this is probably why you never see pear pie on a menu.. October hasn’t OFFICIALLY been labeled National #Salmon Month by… Whoever the hell comes up with these “holidays”… But October 8 is in fact National #SalmonDay and the month of October is #NationalSeafoodMonth… So for the last 2 years (this being year 3)… I have dubbed #October, SALMON MONTH!

Just like clockwork, the day starts. The birds, the bees and all the little critters start waking up to start their day. They all were focused on their tasks. Birds basking in the warm morning sun. Bees felting from one flower to the next. Suddenly my trance had been disrupted. There was honking, a plane going overhead, the neighbors dogs were relentlessly barking, the construction crew reached the new development and you could hear they started their busy work. At first I could feel myself getting annoyed that all this background noise was interrupting the glorious morning. As I turned back and looked at the bees and the birds I realized they were completely unfazed by all this annoying and disruptive background noise.

They all stayed focused. They all went about their business and their busy work. That's when God's message became loud and clear.

There is always going to be a background noise. There are always going to be things that disrupt our path. The Devil tries to break your faith by putting all this background noise in your path. He tries to break you down and fill you with doubt. Overwhelming you so that you make decisions based on impulsive feelings.

God showed me this morning how to handle that. He reminded me to have faith. He reminded me to ignore what is not a direct threat. Staying focused on the bigger picture. God has set forth a path for you. Listening to the messages he sends like this one. That is what's important. Having faith while working towards what really matters.

Hello gorgeous!!! It's Friday and you know what makes this Friday amazing?

Sunflowers!!! We had our first bloom 2 days ago. Since then two more have decided to open up. This is the first one and isn't it gorgeous? I feel like I've been waiting forever to see these!! I can't wait for them to keep growing and keep blooming and making that sunflower patch even more amazing!!!
