2026 Texas Equitarian Project - another Guatemalan trip in the books - serving listening, learning, and showing up! #aaep #fullbuckethealth #zoetis #givingtrip #TEVA

Our team just returned from Guatemala, where we spent time serving, listening, learning, and showing up alongside an unforgettable community.

To us, some stories deserve more space – to reflect, to appreciate, to honor them properly...so we’re rolling out our recent giving trip as a 𝟱-𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨, releasing one daily journal each week.

We’ll be highlighting the moments that mattered, the 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐬, and the 𝐰𝐡𝐲 behind showing up.

This will be more than a recap.
It’s a reflection, and a reminder of why 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞.

Stay tuned for Day One coming out soon!

The Texas Equitarian Project is collectively sponsored by FullBucket, the Texas Equine Foundation, and the Foundation for the Horse, with additional support from Boehringer Ingelheim, Zoetis, MWI, Precision and Wickliffe compounding pharmacies, and HDE and Yeti equipment suppliers.

Gut health isn’t a trend for us. It’s survival, stewardship, and gratitude. 🖤

Over the last two years, Bright has battled colitis twice, with hospitalization and stomach tubing both times, following surgeries related to his accident. Once a horse develops colitis, the risk of it becoming recurrent is very real, especially after surgical stress. Published equine data shows that horses with recurrent or chronic intestinal disease have a significantly reduced long-term prognosis, with only about 60–65% still alive three years after diagnosis without meticulous management.

Because of that history, we don’t guess — we manage intentionally.

Bright is on a consistent, gut-safe program including Ultium, Amplify, Outlast, Redmond Daily Gold pellets, Full Bucket Performance, and allergy management to reduce systemic inflammation. During travel and events, he also receives Full Bucket pre- and probiotic red clay paste, along with injectable vitamins, and ozone therapy and acupuncture adjustments to support his body through stress.

Any time we travel or compete, he receives sucralfate and omeprazole the day before and the day of to protect his stomach during high-stress periods.

This photo was taken Saturday, and he hasn’t looked this good in over two years. That moment means more than most people realize. His gut health has been a roller coaster — constantly changing — and for a long time it felt like we were always one step behind.

I am beyond grateful for the incredible team that has helped get us here:
• Dr. Patterson
• Dr. Don Lee
• Karina Lewis for keeping his dental health dialed in
• The entire team at HighPoint Barrel Horses for helping figure out a daily feed program he loves and now asks for with enthusiasm 💗🖤💗 (IYKYK — after colitis, feeding time wasn’t always happy)

I also need to thank Todd and Rose Grant for their guidance, patience, and genuine care as we get him healthy again so we can chase the last leg of our AQHA Supreme Champion journey.

And Running S Equine for bodywork and PEMF, helping keep everything healing at a cellular level.

🌋Guatemala 🇬🇹 Day one in the village of Acatenango. 58 horses treated with life-saving vaccines, dewormer, wound care, and dentistry. 11 veterinary students from the local private college joined our team to learn more about proper veterinary care for these working horses. This year, we are seeing a huge improvement in the horses’ body condition and the horse handling of their owners. The years spent helping these villages is showing!
