One of our favorite designs from the summer. 🤍 Dora + David’s Aspen wedding weekend was a masterclass in modern minimalism, with Scandinavian-inspired design, natural wood, soft draping, and architectural florals setting the tone. Clean, woven textures and understated paper details brought a quiet sophistication to the design, while a custom wallpaper bar front added an unexpected, impactful moment. Every detail felt intentional, balancing simplicity with thoughtful layers and a strong sense of place. Portraits from the fabulous @emergeeventcollective Beaver Creek retreat! We were asked to set up a portrait station for the gala planned by @enjouestudioevents, and rolled with the daylight-to-sunset theme that Kara envisioned for the evening with a dramatic design using draping and light tubes from @in_light_and_design. I wanted to push The Absolute Best Thing further than it had ever gone before, and went minimal on the props and envisioned an album-cover aesthetic for every portrait. Here are the results! (Bonus - it was @jordankahnorchestra 's 1-year wedding anniversary on this night, and I got to make a little romantic anniversary photo for Jordan and Stephanie on slide 3)

If I could, I’d send every couple home with more than photos. The smell of mountain top pine trees. Cool mountain air right as the sun drops. Glasses clinking, and someone’s laugh carrying across the whole reception. Since I can’t bottle that up, I photograph it. The textures, the light, the people mid-laugh, so your gallery feels like standing in the middle of it again.
