I know Spotify has its issues, especially when it comes to compensating artists fairly,it’s frustrating that this has become the industry standard. But despite all that, I had a validating joyful moment yesterday when I saw our band’s Spotify and that we finally passed 1k streams on a song! Even more surprising, we have 392 monthly listeners right now!

Chances are some of my friends online played a part in making this happen, and I just want to say thank you. Seriously, seeing people engage with this song means a lot. We didn’t go too hard with promotions for Hung, but we poured so much love, care, and time into crafting it into something we are very proud of. Of everything we’ve released, it’s my favorite to date!

This past year for us had some setbacks, life had its own plans, and kept us from releasing more music. But even still, hitting this milestone feels like a small but meaningful victory for guys who’ve been making music with their friends since their angsty high school years.

I also want to give a massive shoutout to @mikeincite and @pocketbuddha510 for collaborating with us on this track. And a huge thanks to the wizard himself @danfullmoonfreakz , who didn’t just compose this song but meticulously mixed and mastered it into the clean, crisp version you hear today. Every new mix we received along the way was mind-blowing, each version somehow sounding better than the last.

While I didn’t write Hung, it holds a special place in my heart. It takes me back to the first time we ever featured an artist live with us and to the first indie tour we did together and our close friends. It’s a piece of our history that feels so alive to me, and seeing it resonate with others makes it even more special.

So, here’s to all the love you’ve shared with our band this year and in years past—even when we’ve been a bit MIA. We’ve got new things on the horizon that I genuinely can’t wait for you to hear. I can’t give firm dates yet, but I will say this: the music we’ve been working on since the pandemic is some of our best yet. Stay tuned—there’s so much more to come!

Thanks for sticking with us, for listening, and for being part of this journey. #music #fmf #rock

Texas was something else! So happy to see my bestie @laurenceimgrund and his bride to be @ryaninthehouse thriving and doing so well together! Can’t wait to see the family and life they lead together. She is the perfect person for him and I loved all the sights and things I got to experience as well as the chosen family I got to see that I haven’t seen in years. I got to do so much, eat so much good food, and have some memories that will last a lifetime! Gotta do it again soon!!!

Here’s some throwbacks to the days @fullmoonfreakz was recording our first album Rambling Animal Mandibles at the infamous whiskey dick studios. We all miss that place and the audio lodge as well. We spent somewhere between 48-72 hours recording the entire record and went without sleep... well most of us did anyways.
