We're hosting a live Kids Yoga Teacher Panel on Tuesday, August 11th at 12:00 PM ET on Zoom, and it's going to be such a good one.

Toddler yoga has come to Hamden, CT! @bestvideohamden has teamed up with @fullofjoyogi to offer family yoga sessions nestled among the DVDs and VHS tapes! We attended the inaugural session and Ruby enjoyed the balance birds and getting told she can climb on her parents. Check Best Video’s socials (Instagram and Facebook) to find out when the next class will be!

The Winter Pool House at @therockawayhotel doesn’t get enough love!

A heated outdoor saltwater pool, cedar barrel saunas, spa services, a spacious but cozy heated/tented lounge strewn with soft, fuzzy pillows and blankets, a menu of great drinks and snacks—it’s a wintertime revelation. (Pictured is the classic toddy from the HOT TODDY MENU and the delicious homemade chips and dip.😊)

Hotel and spa guests get access included, but day passes (from $50) exist too, and are very popular with Rockaway locals. In fact, I love how locals-oriented this entire property is (the owners grew up in Rockaway Beach).

A few weeks ago we hosted my husband’s birthday party at the hotel, and our friends and I took full advantage of the Pool House—even swimming in the snow—before having a terrific family-style meal at @margiesrockaway on-site and dancing for hours on the 6th floor at @therooftoprockaway after that. I can’t recommend the experience enough. It’s a one-stop NYC staycation.
