Dutch MX Season Opener Lierop Expands for 2027

With the 2026 season almost over, attention is already turning to 2027. Following four successful editions, the Dutch MX Season Opener in Lierop will return in 2027 with an expanded programme. The Sunday programme will remain largely unchanged, featuring top international and national riders in the MXGP (500cc), MX2 (250cc) and 125cc classes. However, to make this a true season opener for everyone, it has been decided to introduce a youth and amateur programme on Saturday. This will give riders of all levels the opportunity to kick off their season on 6 and 7 March!

World-class riders such as Jeffrey Herlings, Kay de Wolf, Romain Febvre, Liam Everts and Brent van Doninck have previously celebrated victories on the demanding sandy circuit. Behind the scenes, preparations are already well underway to make the 2027 edition another great success and to offer spectators a strong field of competitors featuring some of the world’s top riders.

With the decision to extend the event to Saturday, youth riders, women and amateur competitors will also have the opportunity to compete at this fantastic event. The aim is to give everyone the chance to race at their own level. Over the coming period, the organisers will determine the exact race programme, after which registration will open.

For more information about the event, please contact Arno van den Brink by phone on +31 6 10910266, by email at info@motocrossplanet.nl, or via WhatsApp chat.

All news and updates about the Dutch MX Season Opener in Lierop will be available over the coming period on the websites www.maclierop.nl and www.motocrossplanet.com, where the latest information will be shared regularly.

In short, Lierop will once again provide the setting for thrilling motocross action on Dutch soil as the 2027 season officially gets underway! So make sure to mark the date in your calendar. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Lierop on 6 and 7 March 2027!

MXoN Ernée 2026 🇩🇰🇫🇷

Nicolai representing Team Denmark, an incredible crowd and a weekend defined by true team spirit. After Mikkel was sidelined by injury, Nicolai and Mads kept fighting and secured 20th overall for Denmark.

This weekend was also very special for us: supporting Nicolai at the track while providing the hospitality for Team Denmark. Thank you to the Danish team for their trust and to everyone who made this experience possible.

We are proud of you, Nicolai. 💚

PRIDE
noun

The feeling earned when the work, sacrifice, and belief become bigger than yourself.

Two brothers. One flag. One unforgettable day.

@LucasCoenen96 & @SachaCoenen79 stand together as Motocross of Nations Champions, bringing the Chamberlain Trophy home to Belgium. 🇧🇪🏆

For family. For country. For Belgium.

This is pride

THEY DID IT. 🇨🇦 A MAIN, BABY.

And honestly… it feels a little weird being this excited about @teamcanadamxon making an A Main. Our Canadian riders are world class and should always be there.

But that’s what makes MXON so damn special. Anything can happen. The cards have to fall, the stars have to align, and today, they did.

Tonight, Canada can breathe a little easier. The hard part is done. The first box is checked. They made the A Main.

Tomorrow, the pressure can go away. There’s nothing left to prove.

Just three Canadian riders lining up, representing this country with everything they’ve got.

They may not win tomorrow — but I have zero doubt they’ll give Canada everything they have.

All heart. All pride. Just ride. 🇨🇦
