* Penn state Detective: 2-3 emails per week - productive
* LAPD: Police report, emails, fingerprints and couple personal visits - ZERO result
* Personal meeting with UPS Security Investigator, Sylmar CA - companionate in words, did not take weight drop into consideration, has a power to look at weight LOGS but did not do it
* Couple phone calls with Atlanta Corporate office - tricky ppl work there
* Letter to Congresswoman, Attorney General, UPS CEO
* Email to UPS CEO, got a phone call NEXT morning (back to UPS Claims)
* spoke to 2 lawyers (one is still on the list to help)
* posted comments on UPS social media - ZERO result
* posted on local Nexdoor app, got 250 replies; some of them took into consideration
* emails and phone calls with the UPS Store owner; he was cooperative, tried to REOPEN the Claim, UPS did NOT allow him!
* UPS Claims calls
* Next: local news, tv, and as a last resort Small Claims Court

I never thought I’d become a Sherlock Holmes detective for a One Piece trading card that went missing in transit (valued at $14,000 at the time)

My grandma taught me to never cry about 💰& thats easy enough. What’s not easy though is challenging the unfairness of the UPS system… that’s what keeps me up at night - the brutal injustice of “we investigated ourselves & found nothing wrong”

I’ve taken time off work, stopped posting on @funancialism , & became unhealthily obsessed with this injustice (I am detaching as much as I can, but I will get to the bottom of this)

My mom noticed what a toll this was taking on me & said she’d help. We’ve already gotten confirmation from BOTH the detective AND UPS security that this package was indeed re-taped. Despite this evidence, claims closed the case

I am super thankful for her support as well as the OP community

Through brutal process there is still hope, this morning we got a call from the UPS CEOs office saying they are re-investigating the case & UPS claims also let us know that they escalated the case internally with the new evidence

This may be a clear cut case of PSA damaging cards. The back story: I opened these from the sealed pack and inspected them. They seemed clean, but damage is entirely possible - although not observable by the naked eye because why would I send them in? I clean each card and spend about 1-2 minutes with each. I’ve done this for 100s of cards

The cards come back with 6,7,8 as grades… I’m pretty confused but zoom into the PSA graded images & notice each card has damage in the same exact spot. It is possible, but not likely, I missed this

Once I received the cases I checked them out and noticed not only does each card have damage in the same spot, but so does the PSA plastic! Which leads me to believe the encasing process caused the damage

I could be wrong, as most people who are tend to believe they are right but..

The evidence points to me believing this is on PSA @psacard i opened a case but sometimes without external pressure it can be hard to solve it fairly since it’s easy to throw something under the rug for a big company

Pokemon 25th anniversary RARE item… in Japan the “hits” of the set were separated into a special pack

That pack was selling separately with ONE card inside

Unfortunately, you are able to take the pack to a light and confirm the card inside (Charizard)

This made it very dangerous for collectors to purchase a pack 😅

However, the Japanese 7-11s carried special sealed boxes which had the pack inside

I haven’t seen many listings over the years & the ones that I have seen, went for quite a bit compared to counterpart 25th anniversary Japanese product

So cool!

Here is the DFC/FI community net worth chart based on the google form I had in my bio. There are 100 data points, lower than the 156 in Dec 2024, which total up to a net worth of $130,724,845. The average NW was $1,307,248 (30% higher than prior average), and the median was $942,000 (up from $742k last time). Highest recorded was $6,138,771. Anons are represented as letter “a”.

- Any submission to the form after today 7/12 will be counted in Dec 2025. Repeat submissions are fine. Otherwise, I will start requesting submissions again in Nov 2025.

Can we first appreciate the style in which he rides his scooter ❤️🧩
I remember telling my favorite therapist @funancialism “I just want him to ride a scooter” he went out and within 30 minutes Donovan had it down 🥹🙏🏽❤️ I felt like I had accomplished something so big and it was amazing to see how my son enjoyed himself in his scooter. It’s wild that so many parents want their children to be smart while autism parents just want their child to have a “normal” life.
