Here’s some campy 80’s new wave for ya😎

“There’s a monster in my pants / And it does a nasty dance / When it moves in and out / Everybody starts to shout...”

Fun fact: The 1984 highly eccentric music video from Fred Schneider was briefly banned by MTV when it initially came out due to its suggestive imagery (which featured women hitting phallic-shaped monsters with brooms). It features famous pop-culture cameos, including legendary visual artist Keith Haring, Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads, and drag performer Ethyl Eichelberger.

The B-52's "Love Shack" Drum Cover excerpt. I'm surprised I haven't done this one yet. A universal CLASSIC! Who doesn't know, love, and adore this song? I’m a little behind my concert postings lately but this was one for the history books I must acknowledge. On Sunday September 27, 2026, my niece Ally and I attended an incredible double bill of DEVO and The B-52’s to inaugurate our first concert together! It was such a fun night and both bands put on a great show albeit too short at slightly more than 1 hour for each of them. I personally liked DEVO the best as they were the most visual of the two but it’s always a good time with Kate, Fred and Cindy! Rob and my ol’ high school friend Gary also joined us and it was great to run into many other friends. Uncle JR is looking forward to seeing many more shows with my niece Ally! A big thank you to Jodi and Hannah! ♥️
