The heartbeat of the city after dark isn’t just the lights it’s the people who bring it to life. ✨🔥

It’s the raw emotion, the collective warmth, and the brief glimpses into people’s lives dancing, playing, creating, and just being present in the moment.🏙️

🔥 FULL LIGHTING | Saturday, October 17

Join us as we celebrate 100 years of @unitedwayri ! 💙💛❤️ For a century, United Way of RI has brought people together to strengthen communities across our state, and on October 17 the full length of the river burns in their honor.

The celebration kicks off early at 4:00 pm with family-friendly activities and a letter-writing station in Memorial Park, plus music from @thesearchri on the College Street Stage. Onshore programming and vendors open at 5:00 pm. At 6:18 pm, gather in the Waterplace Park Basin as torchbearers from United Way of Rhode Island join WaterFire’s boats for the Lighting Ceremony. Fires burn until 11:00 pm.

Visit the United Way Resource Fair in the Basin and on the Washington Street Bridge to connect with dozens of local organizations, add your light to the Starry, Starry Night installation in Memorial Park, and step into the WaterFire Phone Booth to leave a message for WaterFire’s future.

Browse artist & maker vendors @candlesbyjudith , @graceduarte1690 , @designwhat, @brushedawayarts , @jadesgemsllc , @cutiecurlsboutique , @katzillahorror, Paul Sandy’s Honey Shack, @pourevercreations , @sparklesandglow_ and @Glowbyyvonne, @forageworkshop , @josephmushipi, @maypaulpublishers, @mpearl.ri , @landandseatogether @RecycledSilverware, @celestediazfalzone , and @annaleah.moon.studios
