A few weeks ago the incredible education team @strangebirdsalon blessed us with their presence and knowledge!

I took their class two years ago which kickstarted my move to Portland and my transition to a cutting specialist so this was such a full circle moment!

We got to watch 4 different haircuts with 4 different techniques and approaches, it’s such an engaging way to learn!

From razor bobs, to dry cutting, and clipper work these classes always leave me so inspired and motivated to level up my own craft🤩

The learning and growing never stops!

Bring any person with hair texture or a shape that you struggle with, and we can help you understand how to approach techniques that you struggle with so you feel more confident! Straight razor, shears, feather razor or clippers welcome.

My main goal with this class (besides providing education ofc) is to create in person connection and expand the hairstylist community 💕

In hopes of making this a realistic and accessible opportunity I have priced tickets at $100-if you are an apprentice or student, there is a separate ticket option for $75 🥰

I like to start each class by doing a bang trim/detailing, followed by a transformative haircut

Learn to customize each haircut you do by focusing on people’s natural texture to create a cut that styles itself. I will also talk about the importance of thorough consultations and creating relationships with your clients. Whether it’s just a shape up or something more transformative, make every visit a collaborative experience

This class will also touch on basic knowledge on how to use a straight razor, hand styling, and how to make your photos consistent and stand out.

Stylists at all skill levels welcome, including cosmetology students :)

TODAY WE RAISED $3000 FOR DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS 🎉

Thank you to our @strangebirdsalon team who volunteered their time and skills today to help collect donations that went directly to medical aid for families and children in Gaza. ♥️

And a giant thank you to our attendees who came to get beautiful haircuts and donated to the cause. We have such a wonderful community around us, and it’s days like this that we are reminded just how many people in our community want to help.🙂
