MOVIE UPDATE POST: i always planned to make this film SLOWLY and DILIGENTLY seeing as it:
1. is my first feature film (learning as i go)
2. has very little crew
so that is what has been HAPPENING. I’d estimate I’m nearing about 25% of the film shot with 3 months of principal photography left to go! it’s going great but as many know im a cynic and a hardass so ill hold off on the self praise til i see the damn thing. historically im a sucker for posting spoilers as it relates to my many projects but im NOT posting SHIT for this one do you hear me? besides when it comes time we’re gonna need lots of content for the hype machine so youll get it all then.
anyway this is the hardest thing ive ever worked on so please PRAY for me. October 3rd we have a huge shoot in bushwick that im gonna need a ton of dancers and extras for. keep your eyes peeled, ill post details tomorrow! and send me good vibes.. as i continue my wayward journey… towards… pure and total.. EGO DEATH

Presenting my short film, BLOCKED!

I have so many people to thank for the phenomenal work they did on this project. First off, my boy Matt. This man co-produced, did the sound for and edited this thing, spending hours upon hours with me on Zoom calls for weeks on end tweaking things until we had it right. You're the best friend a guy could ask for.

Rylan and Hannah, I couldn't have asked for better actors. You guys elevated this script into an electric two hander, and managed to be damn funny while doing it.

Nolan and Nico, thank you for interpreting my script into some beautiful images. I couldn't have conceived of all the great visuals you guys came up with.

Emily, thank you so much for contributing a banger score to this thing. Agatha, same to you for adding striking colors.

Sure, I wrote this thing, but without the powerhouse of talent I mentioned above, it would just be another file sitting on my computer. Onwards and upwards from here, let's all go make another thing!

Puntarelle <what a star> every part of this precious plant used: the hearts charred and some raw - and the outer leaves boiled and sautéed like dandelion greens.Served alongside mashed olive oily favas and a generous link of fennel sausage ___a nice bottle of Georgian red and a friend -the neighbor kind you call up last minute- to share it with 🍂
