I found these yesterday.

1992. I was 18.

I wrote The Creek about my childhood friends and a place that was all ours.
“Don’t see them much anymore, we’ve all got our own lives.”
That part turned out to be true.

But somewhere along the way, the creek became something else.

The studio. The stage. The songs.
The people I played them with.

Those musicians became some of my closest friends, and 35 years later, some of them are still beside me. Two of them are playing on this record.

I thought I was writing about a place I had left behind.
Turns out, I was finding another place we could call our own.
This was how I grew up. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

The Creek — is now streaming
(3 decades later but somehow right on time)
