Supplier and friends shout out: Spring 2026 edition

I have alot of folks to shout out so I'm breaking it up a bit into seasons.

Alot of people make what we do possible at @fawnbluffprivatelodge . We make an effort to connect as closely as possible with the folks who work hard to bring the west coast to your table. Weather it's staff, friends, farmers, foragers, or suppliers - the experience we offer is nothing without the team.

Swipe to see where the heart of our dishes come from!

Starting with this unreal asparagus from @comoxvalley_farmercollab , a group managed by Jill that manages delivery for several farmers we work with across Comox Valley . More on her to come.

@forestfordinner is a company I stumbled upon a couple years back. Known for exceptional foraging knowledge and quality products I was lucky enough to chat with Ben and build a "suprise box" system that began in peak foraging season allowing for some crazy experiments this year.

Nootka rose from @forestfordinner - this is alot of work to collect so thank you!

Fiddleheads from @forestfordinner . While managing the lodge, time for bulk forages sometimes runs slim on my end and they help me keep the Forrest on the table.

@dirtcoflowers Mike and Melissa deserve their own entire post when I have some time! A beautiful flower farm that supplies some of the most diverse options for edible flowers I've seen. Amongst many other things! Stay tuned for the unreal produce they provide us.

A whole local caught halibut from @crabbybobs . Abby helps me communicate with local boats on the docks of Campbell river to source the freshest seafood direct from fisherman to us. This halibut was a Beauty!

@thespicemerchant.ca is arguably the countries best spice supplier. Stephen travels the world and meets local spice farms that they build relationships with in order to create single origin spice supply chains offering an unimaginable variety of the freshest spices. We stocked our entire pantry with these world class jars.

Douglas fir Pinecones from @fawnbluffprivatelodge ! I forage alot of products myself (when

a note for my younger, bandanna wearing, self

my capacity for love has grown again, allowing it to travel through me until it goes into a new direction. as a result love actively seeks me out- in the overgrown dandelions flowing in the breeze, in the birdsongs that come from every direction when I sit quietly enough, in the buzzing of the bees that find my leg a safe enough place to land before flying off. love searches for my presence in all of these small acts, knowing i am a safe space to hold it until it’s time to be passed along. because i believe that’s all love really wants, to be seen, accepted, held, and shared. 🫶🏻🦋🐛🐝🌻🌞✨
