The best kind of travel memories are the ones where you give back 🌍

Had the privilege of helping out at TCEC Serangan ~ from prepping their meals 🐟 and scrubbing tanks to the absolute best part: watching them swim free into the open sea 🌊

Lovely tour group from @furthertravel yesterday! We love to welcome tour groups for educational tours, interaction with the sanctuary horses, and a beach walk. This gives visitors an opportunity to learn factual information about the working horses here on the Gili Islands, the rules and regulations, and how we help local owners care for their horses!

If you have a tour group to wants to join us please reach out!

🌴 Day 12/12 | And just like that…it’s over 😔

12 days. So many adventures. And memories to last a lifetime…

From learning to surf 🏄🏻‍♀️ and white-water rafting 🚣🏻‍♀️, to island hopping 🏝️, snorkelling with turtles 🐢, exploring rice terraces 🌾, zip-lining, Bali swings, temples, volunteering and watching sunsets across the islands…we packed so much into 12 days!

New people.
New food.
A completely new culture.
So many experiences I never would have had at home. 🌏

And the best bit about doing it with @furthertravel? You can enjoy the adventure without having to worry about figuring out the transport, accommodation, activities or itinerary yourself. You just show up, meet your people and enjoy the trip. 😄

If you’ve been thinking about booking a group adventure but aren’t sure whether to take the leap…take this as your sign! 👀

I’ve shared the whole trip from Day 1–12, so go back and watch the vlogs to see exactly what we got up to! 🎥

Our last full day in Bali…

Started the day with an early morning sunrise run club before re-grouping and having a free day to explore Canggu at our own pace.

🥭 Smoothie bowls
🛍️ Local markets
🛒 A little shopping
🌴 Exploring the streets of Canggu
🥥 And of course, plenty of good food!

Then we all came back together for a group yoga session 🧘🏻‍♀️before getting dressed up for our final farewell dinner. 🥂

It’s crazy how quickly 12 days can fly by when you’re having the time of your life.

🐢 Day 10/12 | Turtle Conservation 💚

We spent the morning volunteering at Serangan Turtle Conservation, where we met tiny hatchlings that were only a few hours old (they were so tiny!!!), as well as turtles being cared for after injuries.

We helped prepare their food, fed them and cleaned their tanks. Getting to play even a small part in looking after these incredible animals was such a rewarding experience. 🐢

Then we headed to Tanah Lot, one of Bali’s most iconic sea temples…
Did you know that Tanah Lot means “Land in the Sea” and the temple sits on a rocky outcrop surrounded by the ocean? 🌊

After exploring the temple, we made our way to our final destination…Canggu!

And what better way to arrive than with the most beautiful pink sunset? 🌅

🐒 Day 9/12 | Cultural Immersion 🌾

Okay…I think I found my favourite day of the trip! 🥹

We packed A LOT into one day:

🐒 Monkey Forest - made some very cheeky friends (and got a few selfies! 😂)

🌾 Tegalalang Rice Terraces - zip lines, the iconic Bali swing and some of the most incredible scenery I’ve ever seen!

💦 Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple - took part in a traditional Balinese water purification ceremony, which was such a special and unforgettable experience. 🇮🇩

It’s moments like these that remind me why I love travelling. Getting to experience things that are completely different from everyday life…a day I’ll never forget.

And we’re not done yet… 👀

💛Day 8/12 | Giving Back in Bali 🏫

Today was a little different and definitely one of the most meaningful days of the trip. 🥹

We spent the day volunteering at a local school supporting children with additional needs, helping out in the classroom, preparing lunch, cooking and getting stuck into some gardening. 🌱📚

It was such a rewarding experience and so special to spend time with the local community.

And of course, there was still time for some Bali exploring…

🥥 Tried fresh coconut
🛍️ Explored the local markets & shops
🧘‍♀️ Reformer Pilates class

A day of giving back, trying new things and experiencing a different side of Bali.

Definitely a day I’ll remember for a long time.
