Tomorrow is the final day to sign up for this generational project. ( Bio link ) & no you do not have to be a model.

On Wednesday, February 25, we begin 100 Black Voices — a long-term photography and storytelling initiative capturing Black individuals from ages 0 to 100 and preserving their stories.

Wednesday is only the starting point. We will continue casting beyond this date as we work to represent every age and every voice.

If you are interested in collaborating, please email blackvoices100@gmail.com.
If you would like to participate, use the link in our bio to sign up before the deadline.

James Van Der Zee understood something powerful. The way you photograph a community shapes how that community is remembered. During the rise of Harlem, he chose to document Black families, celebrations, and everyday life with intention and dignity. That choice still echoes today.

On February 25, I’ll be photographing 100 Black people across generations for 100 Black Voices. This project is about presence, unity, and continuing the tradition of documenting ourselves on our own terms.

If you’re in Chicago and want to be part of it, sign up using the link in my bio.
Artists, organizers, and community leaders can reach out directly to collaborate.

On February 25, I’m photographing 100 Black people from ages 0 to 100.

This project is called 100 Black Voices.

For nearly a decade, I’ve photographed our families, our businesses, and our art. Now I’m documenting something bigger. Our stories across generations.

The goal is to create a book and traveling visual archive that lives in galleries and public spaces. This is completely self-funded and will take months to complete, but it starts here.

If you’re in Chicago, sign up through the link in my bio.

If you’re an artist, filmmaker, gallery, or community organizer who wants to collaborate, email blackvoices100@gmail.com.

Let’s build something that lasts.

yall im so nervous and also excited to share what ive been working on lately. here’s the thing by coming to this party you really are getting open access that everyone won’t have. because transparently speaking there is still just a tad bit more work needed to be done on this project, thus i want your input and suggestions! id say we’re 80% at the finish line. so help me take it all the way home, celebrate my coming off of “hiatus” i guess lol, and help me also turn up my favorite man’s bday ✨💗 rsvp link in bio!!!
