And that is a wrap to my 2026 comp season, with a Top 16 exit landing me 14th out of 175 competitors at SDC 2026 Worlds! As the only privateer in Top 16, I'm glad to put on display the possibilities of the 380size motor and servo knuckles.

With the advent of the Futaba CD500KS Knuckle Servos earlier this year, I set out to build my very unorthodox and experimental chassis for the main event in October. The end result was combining Futaba Knuckle Servos, Acuvance MervERA 380 motor, and Rear A-Arm Conversion together on a RêveD RDX. With 90 days to go to the main event, I spent time R&Ding and refining the build at events and comps at Driftwell, Amain and RollingGarage since the regional SDC host locally cancelled their season this year.

With two lackluster qualifying runs on Friday, I focused on cleaning up my run Saturday and making visual cues to aim for. Luckily, I was able to land a 79pt score and safely land in Top 31.

Sunday, had to battle young Paxton from Twisted Lanes out in Illinois and whoever made it throught would most likely battle Hikaru in Top 16. A close battle against Paxton, can't wait to see his growth at future events. And thus I end up battle Hikaru Hoshi in Top 16, with minimal faith in actually winning against one of Japan's best. With a major wall hit in my chase run, I opted for a "Send It!" mentality for my lead run to close it out. Still happy I made it to Top 16, since it has been 4 years since I last made it that far at SuperG.

Shout out to all the friends in the rc drift family/community that supported me and hung out during the event weekend. Great seeing familiar faces as well as being acquainted with new ones, hoping to see them again next year 👋

PDMCC Summer Series P2 overall 🏆

That’s a wrap of the summer series after the fantastic summer we had with the sun pretty much every event here, getting faster & faster every round finding my setup on the car, after many brilliant races all series I have managed to achieve P2 overall this series which i’m absolutely chuffed with something I didn’t think I’d have done so this early on against everyone here, after racing for 3 years now.

My 1st year in 8th has been pretty mega, starting by thrown straight at the deep end attending Neoland for my 2nd ever race was nothing short of a eye opener, that just sparked my interest more to race these awesome machines, sadly I’ve not got round the attending other dirt track since but I have raced at the awesome Pendle track the crew here have been welcoming from a newbie to now knowing mostly everyone. Roll on winter ❄️
