On a blank white sheet of paper, under a sky worn out by the sounds of death, Touleen's innocent right hand drew what souls miss before bodies do: a small house that gathers the family together, a gentle cat to share the warmth, and a rose that refuses to die despite the severity of the drought. The Small House: She didn't draw a palace; she merely wanted walls to shield her childhood and a roof to protect her from the cold of fear and the dust of shelling. She is searching for the 'stability' that war has stolen away." #childrenrights #football #childhood
