This is an interactive art exhibit that will run through the end of 2027. I was not expecting to have as much fun as I did here tbh..! Definitely book tickets in advance.

Yes, I’ve heard plenty of people say that these tiny bars are just a tourist trap but I think it’s worth the visit. We went earlier in the night (around 9-10pm) on a week night and it wasn’t super crowded. Just bring cash, pay attention to the signs outside of each bar that specify their language preferences and be prepared to pay a cover charge to enter most bars. We had great experiences at two different bars with super friendly and knowledgeable bartenders, one was serving various homemade gins! Come with an open mind and enjoy being in such a unique space that’s been around since the 1950s!

The space is tiny and the food is incredible! Definitely a fun experience sitting on a little stool ordering per skewer with so many options to choose from.

This nail salon was recommended to me by someone else! They specialize in nail art so if you’re into fun nails, this is a must. I went in with inspiration photos (but they will also make a design for you!) and my nail artist went above and beyond and her work lasted at least 4 weeks, even after soaking in hot springs on the rest of my trip! I booked in advance so I can’t speak on walk in availability but it did seem pretty busy when I was there. Just be aware that the booking platform is in Japanese and the translation to English can still be a little confusing, just take the time to figure it out so you can guarantee your appointment! The girls were also super understanding of me using google translate to communicate specific details during my appointment :) ♥
