It’s hot as balls out here. And it’s got me heavy in my feels.

Age 25 — 2026CE — has undoubtably been the most insane, story book, whirlwind year of my life. But like a Grimm’s Fairy Tale, Monkey’s Paw version. And it’s only August. Nothing is as glamorous or dream like as it seems. If I were to tell my 17 year old self that I work at a Michelin recognized sushi restaurant, am the manager of an LA streetwear store, had a stint at Noma while they were in LA, and am a soon-to-be music studio intern, all while still having time to pursue my own passions and maintain a loving relationship to my dope goth gf… I think young me would shit himself.

This year, I’ve never been more well off in my whole life, yet never more frighteningly broke. This thing I’ve got going, it’s something I can’t lose. It’s day by day by day right now, keeping it all from unraveling. It’s a tough, blistering world out there. And I’m so tiredly anxious for things to cool off. I fear that I may melt into a puddle of steaming, pink matter if I step outside.

But send it, get out there and meet your heroes, kids! It’s only a fool’s errand if you believe that spider’s spun tale you’ve threaded in your head. This is real life, with real people and you’re livin’ it! I’m wishing well to all the incredible people I’ve met so far, especially those who are very far away, in Europe, undoubtably smoking hand-rolled cigarettes, drinking French wine, and wearing sweaters (lucky bastards).

Anyway, here’s to whatever comes next‼️

My LAZF recap and trade haul! Thank you to the organizers and volunteers for putting their all into @lazinefest this year! I feel really lucky to have been a part of it and to have the chance to vend alongside my other zine friends 💜 I wasn't able to get up and walk around since it was just me at my table but I did get so many amazing zines, stickers, prints from fellow artists 😭 I wasn't able to tag everyone on the last slide with the prints since I reached my tagging limit. So I'll tag them here! riso print with the two cats on the upper left is by @miqiiu , the drawing on the priority mail sticker is by @sealeonee , the pink I only read zines and angel sticker under that is by @bruxita.linda , and the light gray riso prints on black and white paper in the center and ghost stickers at the bottom are by atozee.press! The riso print on the right with the deer is by @lilustrated The riso print on the top right and sticker at the bottom with ribbons right is by @disco___2001 The thermal print camera image in the 5th slide is by @art.attemption ! Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table - especially with the heat 😭💜 you truly made my day! Hope to catch u at the next one #zines #lazf #zinester
