Designing a feeling. Most coffee shops today look generic. They miss the real goal: the ritual. You need an identity that captures the pause, the moment of calm. • See the new brand for @nkoracoffee by @monopo_london . • NKORA started in East London in 2015. They kept their independent spirit. • Their focus shifted to coffee-to-go. • We built the identity around the soothing power of a coffee walk. Key design choices: • Monopo created Miles, a lino-printed character and their new mascot. • The system includes custom typography, bespoke illustrations, and analog photography. • This keeps the character and quirks that make the brand special. • The design is simple, direct, and human. It’s a moment of peace in your hand. Your brand should reflect the emotional core of your product. Great work on photography by @joshuajsneade , videography by @billy_____white , and web by @fw3d . #brandidentity #rebranding #graphicdesign #coffeeshop #logodesign #packagingdesign #customtype #illustration #londoncoffee #monopolondon #brandingstrategy #designprocess #visualidentity #coffee

FICTION: "Do they see us?" "I don't know, just keep your eyes on the menu." "Damn, she looks pissed. Wonder what's going thru her mind right now." "Probably wondering about the creepy couple in the mirror listening in on their conversation." Her sarcasm doesn't amuse him. He sits back in his chair and lets out a heavy sigh. His wife can hear the irritation. "What's wrong?" "Nothing. I'm just tired." "Oh, did it finally hit you?" "What?" "Our childishness. Listening in on couples' drama." "Are you kidding me? It's the only thing keeping me young." They laugh. "No, my students today gave an exhausting debate. I listen to these arguments on feminism. Somehow, the conversation shifted from Me Too movement to marriage." "The Me Too movement has exposed a lot of darkness in the workplace." "I get that, but marriage is a separate institution. Two people build a life together, supporting each other equally." "They have a different view on that?" "One student said she wouldn't marry a man unless he earned less than her." They laugh. She points to the couple. "Well, I don't think that's their issue." "No, I suppose not. Still, it makes me worry about these kids today." "They'll be fine. The majority of the world is built on some foundation. Religion, spirituality, moral compass. Whatever the discipline, they'll eventually follow. We've all had our viewpoints in our youth, even you. Or do you not remember your stance on last names?" He laughs. "Yea, I remember. You eventually changed it." "Well, I didn't want you sulking like a baby the rest of our lives." He smiles. "By the way, I never understood something." "What's that?" "Well, you took my last name, but when you opened your own practice, you used your maiden name. Why?" "Simple. You're not the one who went to med school." . . . . . The photo and story above are in no way related or based on factual events.
