A bittersweet goodbye to gymnastics.

@stillwatergymnastics , thank you for the last 5 years. It has been a rollercoaster to say the least. Leaving this team is going to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. My first few years aren’t necessarily ones I’d choose to relive or glamorize. The road was bumpy to say the least; it was filled with extreme highs and lows that will never fade away. But I was always told to think positively, and those moments are what shaped me into the girl I am today. Those years taught me lessons more valuable than any score or medal.

Up until last year, my coaches called me the quiet one. A hard working girl, but one who kept to herself. Words cannot describe these last 2 seasons and teams. It’s crazy what this sport took away from me, but even crazier how those girls brought me back. Thank you for bringing back my love and passion for gymnastics and taking me in with open arms. Thank you for bringing my sparkle back. I would not be the person I am today without you girls. I am eternally grateful for all the friendships and memories I’ve made these past few years; hopefully they last many more years. Those two years will forever hold a special place in my heart, one that is irreplaceable.

As I end this era in my life, I have nothing but love for the sport. It has given me so much and life will not be the same without it. It has been the absolute sweetest and wildest ride ever. So thank you to the sport that raised me, gymnastics.
