Summer 2027 might feel far away, but when you’re building a home from the ground up, now is exactly when you start thinking about it. Mill Hook is a will-be-built new construction home in Accord, set on 13 acres just two miles from Inness. Getting there is part of the magic: a gated, 2,000-foot private drive winds through a lush, wooded landscape before arriving at the homesite. The 13 acres are a mix of open meadows, mature forest, natural rock outcroppings and two beautiful streams winding throughout the property, along with two artesian wells. Designed by Hoover Architecture with interiors by FW Interiors, the plans call for 3,905 square feet of single-level living with 4 ensuite bedrooms, 4.5 baths, a private primary wing, office, loft, screened porch, two fireplaces and an attached 2-car garage. The details are GOOD: genuine wood siding, a matte black standing seam metal roof, white oak floors, custom oak cabinetry, quartzite and soapstone, Sub-Zero + Wolf appliances, radiant heat, central air, Control4 smart home technology and a pool site. And because we’re still at the beginning, there’s an opportunity for the buyer to collaborate with FW Interiors on finish selections and watch the home take shape from the ground up. If a brand new home in the Hudson Valley is part of what you’re imagining for next summer, now is the time to start the conversation. Buying a home before it’s built isn’t for everyone. But if you find the right builder, the right architecture, and the right homesite, it can actually be one of the smartest ways to buy. Instead of spending years renovating or compromising on someone else’s design choices, you get to move into a home where the biggest decisions have already been thoughtfully made, while still having the opportunity to make many of the finishes feel like your own. This will be built home in Accord, NY sits within a private five-home enclave in the heart of the Hudson Valley, just minutes from Inness and approximately 2 hours from NYC, with construction beginning August 15. There’s still time to personalize many of the finishes and fixtures before the home is complete, with an anticipated completion in April/May 2027 - giving buyers the opportunity to customize a thoughtfully designed home without the years-long wait often associated with custom construction. Thinking about a pool, a sauna, a wellness space, or other personal touches? This is the stage where those conversations happen. If you’ve been searching for Hudson Valley real estate, a will be built home in Accord, a modern weekend home near NYC, or contemporary homes near Stone Ridge, High Falls, Woodstock, Kingston, New Paltz, or the Catskills, this is one worth seeing. Comment MILL HOOK and I’ll send you all the details. -Genevieve Geaney, a Woodstock, NY real estate agent sharing the Hudson Valley’s most charming homes and helping you discover the region’s most unique properties. Comment LISTING and I’ll send you everything you need to know. Some homes are designed. Others are designed for a place. Mill Hook is the latter. Tucked away on a private property in Accord, NY, this will be built luxury home was imagined around the landscape long before construction was scheduled to begin. The trees, the stream, the rock outcroppings, and the changing light aren’t the backdrop. They’re the reason this home looks the way it does. The architecture doesn’t compete with the land. It belongs to it. One of the most exciting parts is that the future owner has the opportunity to be part of the process. Depending on timing, you’ll be able to collaborate with FW Interiors on select finishes and design details, adding your own touch while staying true to the home’s vision. Over the coming months, I’ll be sharing the journey as Mill Hook comes to life, from untouched land to a completed luxury home in the Hudson Valley. If you love thoughtful architecture, timeless interiors, and watching exceptional homes take shape, I think you’ll enjoy following along. Construction begins this August with anticipated completion in May 2027. Comment LISTING and I’ll send you the details. - Genevieve Geaney, a Woodstock, NY real estate agent showing you how to live like a local. Serving Woodstock, Accord, Stone Ridge, High Falls, Kerhonkson, Kingston, Rhinebeck, New Paltz, Saugerties, and the greater Hudson Valley and Catskills Region.
