Nearly exactly one year ago I was told to rush to the ER for an unexpected blood transfusion. My hemoglobin was 5.7. Nearly half the blood my body needed to function properly. Moments from a stroke or heart attack. My ferritin (iron) level a 7, essentially my gas tank was running on fumes.
Today🩸it’s 15.7. And Iron level 40 ✨💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

In between: 12 rounds of iron infusions and a hysteroscopy to remove a 6cm fibroid from my uterus. But here I am, dancing, and finally right within.

My deepest gratitude to my big sis @fworddocumentary for introducing me to @coachgessie and her @thedetoxnow program who is a true warrior for women. Not just for walking me through every step but for staying on top of me. This woman loves BIG!!!! and to Dr. @soyinihawkinsmd and the Woman’s Pelvic and Wellness Center for the surgery and care that changed everything, and to Dr. Samantha Harvey at @alchemy63_llc , whose frequency medicine has been keeping my body and spirit in alignment through it all.

Imagine being at the height of your career — a TV star on @beyondthegatescbs, the first and only Black soap opera on CBS — and your own body begins to break down.

All her life, Daphnee suffered from heavy periods, but recently it had become out of control — bleeding 45 days at a time, losing track of where one cycle ended and the next began.
