Growth begins where comfort ends…
Looking myself in the mirror after the 25’ season on the @freerideworldtour and not making the cut was definitely not comfortable. Crashes and bad competition results can wear you down, especially if you give your best, but just seem to always lack the last 2% of your run and land on your butt.
But that was exactly the moment to be uncomfortably honest with myself and accept the fact, that I didn’t do as I expected.
Accepting my shortcomings felt hard at first, and needed good friends and a lot of love for myself to even let the thought enter my brain. But after the fear of the thought was gone and I could see it without emotional baggage, it gave me a much more important question to ask:

Why am I even doing competitive Freeriding in the first place?
Was it because of the results?

This question ultimately made me requalify for the @freerideworldtour last season and if you wanna know the answer, stay tuned for my new movie “Uncle Timmy” where I get into details. 🍿
