Fall Getaway ‘26🍂

Going into this weekend, I didn’t know what to expect. With this being my last Fall Getaway, there were a lot of emotions, both positive and negative. But being surrounded by like-minded people who are genuinely chasing after the Lord, pouring into the sisters around me, and taking in the beauty of His creation reminded me that there is still SO much more to discover in my relationship with Jesus.

Asking questions, learning, and listening became the theme of my weekend. I learned more about what it looks like to surrender the things I’ve been holding onto and place them in God’s hands. I also learned that sometimes trusting God means taking responsibility for the things He’s placed in my hands. Protecting my relationship with Him, choosing to stay single instead of seeking a relationship, learning to be okay with not being okay, and trusting that God can bring healing in the midst of my depression and anxiety.

There is still so much I have to learn, but this weekend reminded me not to be afraid to ask the questions, to seek understanding, and to let God continue to shape me.

I was also reminded that my mission field doesn’t begin and end with saying yes to a mission trip. My mission field is EVERYWHERE God has placed me, every single day. We are all called to “go,” but that doesn’t always mean going across the world. It means being willing to serve, love, and share the Gospel right where we are. We need people willing to serve locally just as much as globally.

Take a step of faith right where you are. Stay curious, stay surrendered, and stay willing to let God use you. There is still so much more to discover. 🤍

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Wow! I cannot believe my girlfriend has graduated. She has worked so hard and has finally done it! If I had to choose a bible verse to describe this wonderful woman, it would be 1st Corinthians 16:14 saying “Let all your things be done with charity/love.” It is the perfect verse because she is the sweetest, kindest, and most humble person ever and I know every single person around her sees that. Her growth in life and specifically her growth in her relationship with Christ has been so inspiring to see. I am truly thankful and blessed to say this woman is my girlfriend. I can’t wait to see what an even more amazing woman you will become in the future. I am so very proud of you Fynnly Clark Ketola. ❤️🌸💐🤞
